FREEPARKING!!! Unlike it’s snobby older brother White Rock. On a busy day it’s tough to find parking as Samuel A. noted but it’s worth it if you found a spot. There is Blackie Spit where it’s a big gravel parking lot with washrooms, a dog off leash area, and lots of walking trails. Lots of cool things to look at like Camp Alexandria, Blackie Spit, the old Wickson lot, and some neat little shops along the way too. If you’re feeling adventuerous there is 1001 steps which brings you from the beach all the way up to one of the Crescent Beach neighborhoods. Great place for bringing the kids, a nightly stroll, or d walk after your first date. The fish and chips shop is super pricey, there is a Wired Monk coffee shop which is reasonable, and the Greek place(Pelagos) has tasty food. It’s a bonus here because there are no idiots driving around constantly trying to be cooly guys like in White Rock. A few things for a heads up: 1) Conservation officers sneak up unexpectedly. I saw a pair give a lady and her little kid a ticket for taking a starfish out of the water. TERRIBLE!!! 2) Blackie Spit parking lot gates are locked at 8:00 pm so don’t get locked in!!! 3) You can park in the hidden side streets and lanes, be aware of city parking signage 4) Watch your speed, there are lots of people with famalies here on a busy sunny day

This is the best beach in South Surrey. Far better than the busier White Rock Beach. The beachfront is a walking path and unique homes. Very quiet and relaxing. Dog friendly too.
