Contrary to the fact that you design your own meal the meal is cooked well, once in a blue moon the meat is burnt. However it’s a very rare occurrence. Food quality and freshness overall looks great. One thing I would change is the soup that you get before your meal. Every. Single. Time. It is terribly over salty. Overall quality and service is a good 4⁄5. Good price point for lunch 25% OFF!

I don’t know why this place only has 3.5 stars because personally, I really enjoy this place whenever I go. Some of the highlights of this place is that you can create your very own dish by choosing whatever you want to put in(seafood, meat, veggie, etc) and that there’s unlimited service of rice wraps and/or rice(you can choose either white or brown) for free. The price really depends on how much you put into your bowl. I usually spend $ 13 and I get really full. I strongly suggest you to go from 11am-3pm because they offer special lunch promotion during that time so it’s cheaper. I know that this particular Mongolie Grill provides free wraps/rice and lunch promotion, because when I went to the Mongolie Grill in Whistler, they don’t have the same service. If you are looking for something special, this place is a great choice!

I really enjoyed my first visit to the Mongolie Grill. Lots of variety to choose from. The food was delicious. My husband and I chose the large bowls and our meals were $ 14.00 each(discounted 25% because it was lunch). Some people are saying that it’s too expensive, however, I got three meals out of mine as I took my leftovers home. Friendly service. Can’t wait to go back.

I love that you’re able to pick and choose whatever you want, it’s as if you’re creating your own dish. I also like that they cook it in front of you, plus the prices are so good, and you receive rice, and soup, that are complimentary. However, depending on how much is in your bowl, and how busy the place is, it can take a while to cook. If you only get veggies though, you receive 25% off of your order, so if you’re stopping by to grab a veggie stir fry for lunch, it won’t be too pricey! Service was pretty good, there was a party of 12 before me, so it was a little slow, but doesn’t take away from how great the experience was!

Love this place! If you screw up your meal it’s your own fault ;) I do try and go before 4pm because it’s 25% off for«lunch»! Bonus! Though even with the discount one large bowl can cost you $ 30+ Be sure to have some soup and mix rice into your stir fry afterwards… it makes for a yummy meal and leftovers!

Love that you get to pick all your veggies and noodles from a large selection. Every time I go I experiment with different sauce combinations. I’ve never correctly guessed the weight of my meal(then it would be for free) but it’s fun and everything tastes fresh.

I found the food tasted bland. The service wasnt very good, we didnt get checked on at all when we sat down with our meals. The chef cooks your stir-fry, and if you guess the weight on the dot, you get your meal for free. Its almost impossible though. The chef was also very rude. I asked him a question and he ignored me. I personally think the stir-fry i make at home is much better and flavourful.

While in Surrey, we checked out Mongolie Grill on a whim. We’ve tried a number of different Mongolian Grills and this one is pretty good. The selection is fabulous, phenomenal even but expensive! Much more than we typically pay elsewhere. As the previous reviewer indicated, your bowl of fresh food is weighed before cooked on the grill. You are charged based on weight and quite handsomely. In all other places we’ve visited, we pay a flat rate for lunch(or dinner) whether it be for a small bowl, large bowl or all you can eat. The MAX price is about $ 12(all you can eat) per person which includes a small portion of rice, a small bowl of miso like soup. At Mongolie Grill my plate cost $ 16.90 and my husband’s was just over $ 20. based on precooked weight(s). A corn chowder(I think the soup changes daily) plus a reasonable size portion of rice is included. For the same portion size we usually pay $ 7.50 per person at lunch. We’ve always been full so never take advantage of the all you can eat for $ 12 at our usual go to Mongolian place. I fully admit, the selection is greater at Mongolie Grill. The décor is modern and the staff are friendly. It’s worth checking out!

There is just something about having a vast array of options in terms of meat, tofu, veggies, nuts, sauces, etc… and the ability to just dump random ingredients into a bowl for someone to fry that makes a great stir fry! I have a long time love fair with stir fry, frequently make it at home, but for some reason it’s never as good as at the Mongolie Grille. This location has a funky vibe to it, I like the lighting; the layout of the tables and the ingredients bar is really well done I think. Servers are always friendly and efficient. The funnest part, well aside from creating your own grille, is the guess your weight at the end — well not YOUR weight but the weight of you food. Get it dead on and win a gift voucher for your next visit! Once you give the chef your bowl the food always comes super fast no matter how long the bowl line up is around the grill. They also have lovely desserts and a good bar selection if you are into that kind of thing. They are also conveniently located immediately next store to Baskin Robbins. Now you know of it, you must go!
