I have continued to dine at Nori for eat in and take out, even after I moved farther away from the restaurant. Tonight I ordered take out. I shared the Nori maki combo with my mom, and I added 2 pieces tamago nigiri and a miso soup to go. The combo includes a California roll, a dynamite roll, and a tuna roll. Everything was great, as usual. I love the mom and pop owners — she chefs and he takes orders and serves. I feel that it’s important to visit the independent businesses and support them! Nori’s menu is simple and fresh — not too much fried food, quality raw seafood, and neatly prepared. It’s also reasonably priced. Thanks again, Nori!

Really good sushi. Fairly good value and it’s always tasted good(rolls, gyoza, bento box). Good service, clean(at least the front side) place. The only thing that annoys me a bit is that they’re really inflexible to any changes on the menu. I asked if I could have a Sockeye Salmon roll, instead of the regular(farmed) salmon — they do sockeye salmon Nigiri, sockeye salmon sashimi, why can they just roll that sockeye right up into a roll? Seems easy enough to me! Even charge me more, I’m okay with that! But he just kept repeating that they couldn’t do it.

Greeted as I entered by a friendly elderly couple. I’m almost going to say that this is a mom and pop joint! This place is simple in décor and clean. I like the spacing between the tables. I have ordered the assorted tempura and a rainbow roll. I also ordered a green tea and the older fellow poured it for me into this cute little tea cup. I love places like this merely for the ambiance. They also have Shaw Wifi here cool. Ok down to the food. The tempura was lightly battered and delicious. 3 pcs of prawn and 4 pcs of veggies. The prawns were cooked perfectly. Nicely done. The rainbow roll is freshly made with the sashimi being the perfect temperature. Not frozen like some places or too cold. The right amount of rice not thick like some places make them. Neatly presented. The quality of the fish is top notch. My experience was pleasant. I’m definitely coming back. Support the small local businesses. Come check it out. PS. It’s worth it to eat healthily. Spend a little more and feel better about yourself for having done so.

I enjoyed a solid meal. The menu was on the smaller side. There were not many speciality rolls that stood out. Service was good. Food portion size to price was reasonable for Surrey pricing. Food was fresh. Tea was pipping hot. Overall, good meal.

This is our 3rd visit and the place was hopping tonight. 10 people came in and out during our time there. Of the folks sitting down, several people were commenting on how fresh and tasty the food was, they must be new comers. A couple people came in for take-out. My chicken teriyaki came out and it looked so good, I again forgot to photo it. I tried the green dragon roll and wow, you just can’t beat this fresh sushi. The family who runs this place are super nice. The place is extremely clean and as they have Kins Farm Market bags in the washroom, it is nice to know they buy from our local farmers. Definitely coming back again. My 6 year olds favourite sushi place to date.

Real authentic Japanese food and super friendly & attentive staff. I had the Chicken Katsu Don and it was great, the egg on top made it unforgettable. This place is definitely my new favourite spot for Donburi.

I love this place. Their bento box is yummy and cheap. I like their chiken terriyaki bento. They pour terriyaki sauce onto the rice as well. Sushi is not so bad. I also like their cones. Great tea. Hearty serving. Friendly staff. Not so nice location.

Pros: — Clean restaurant — Family Owned, that translate to a lot of HEART being put into the food preparations… to me anyways — Fresh items on the menu, actually gave a great distinctive taste Cons: — Location is «Rough» when looking at Surrey/Whalley — Menu was a bit limited, could definitely use more«creative» sushi rolls(that is my thing anyways) Overall: — I would visit again, but it would not be in my top 3 choices for Sushi restaurants within the Guildford/Central City/Whalley area.

It’s only been open about a month, and really not a great location. At night, you’ve got a rough crowd, usually all guys in the restaurants surrounding them. Plus, as a Japanese place, it’s not really a sushi joint, either. But what it is, is a great homestyle Japanese place, that offers Japanese food, that Japanese people eat(and no, it’s not sushi :), with authentic Japanese taste. Now I only had one menu item, but it was the best katsudon(tonkatsu or pork katsu) I’ve had in quite a while. It was a pretty good portion and they definitely didn’t skip on the katsu on top of it, and the katsu wasn’t pounded into oblivion, so it was a nice thickness. I’ll definitely be back to try one of their other dons or udons :)
