I have ordered out and eaten in at Sakuya. The fish is always fresh and service is fast. This place gets quite busy around dinner time so you might find yourself standing to wait for a table. I recommend going before 5:30 or after 7 to guarantee a spot if you plan on dining in. Prices are reasonable. Hope this local business is here to stay in Ocean Park!

I like this place for two reasons. It’s within walking distance and the food is pretty good. Every time we have been there or order takeout we have not been disappointed. Price is reasonable and portions are a good size.

Small portions, average quality, and excessively expensive. There are plenty of great sushi places close by — this one is just for those who are too lazy to drive 5 minutes further up the road.

Not sure why a few other rating sites give mixed reviews BUT this restaurant is great.
A smaller family run operation provides service with a smile. Food is great, Sashimi is excellent (sashimi for me is a great indicator of quality).

I usually judge a sushi place by its salmon sashimi… Cause that’s how I ‘roll’ (get it?) This place gets top marks for amazing sockeye salmon sashimi. Staff is attentive and service is really quick… I will definitely be back!
