Ok so this is a vegetarian Indian restaurant which caters with North Indian cuisine.
The food is to die for, the owners are polite, and true to their cuisine. I’ve eaten chaat, tikki (potato balls).
But if you go here you gotta try their Paneer pasanda, is to die for. Try their naan bread one of the most soft yet scrumptious I’ve ever had. I’m not sure where the bad reviews are coming from I have eaten here already 20 times and the food was never bad, like never ever.
They also do packed lunches, which you have to go pick up I think it has 3 vegetables (Curry’s) and 2 rotis rice sweet dish etc.
It’s a sure shot if you are looking for good food at reasonable prices.
Oh and yes it had the cleanest toilets you will ever see in any restaurant. I talk to the owner and he said that he pays $ 1000 to just the cleaners.
It’s a must visit.

I am not sure where did all the bad reviews came from, I think it’s THE BEST Indian vegetarian restaurant in the Vancouver area.
The paneer pakodas were fresh and crispy, chutney was just the right combination of sweet and tamarind. For all the dishes we ordered portion sizes were big yet with great quality, awesome value for money.
The owners are friendly, they checked a couple of times that we are well taken care of, and offered discount on thali prices for kids.
I would be coming here with my family whenever I am in the Vancouver area.

There was a hair in my dosa. Employee seemed like he didn’t care when he took it away and then came back to ask me «do you need another one?»
Dosa was fine but chaat was not good. Also, I’d bet this place is not up to health code. Cooks don’t wear hair nets. Avoid this place. Won’t be returning.

Worst restaurant in Vancouver. Never seen such attitude from a restaurant owner. We got extremely low quantities in the thali and it went downhill from there. We politely brought our concern to the owner and he was extremely rude. Overall mediocre food and horrible customer experience. Ruined the night.

We are visiting Vancouver for winter holidays. We have discovered this little gem and were shocked by lack of Unilocal reviews.
The food here is wonderful and people are great. I think it is family owned. You can usually find the owner (Sam) there in the evening. We tried Channa Bhatura, Golgappa Chat, Paneer Pokra and their thali’s. The food always tasted fresh and the flavors are authentic. We live in Bay Area (California) which has many good Indian restaurants. None come close to this place! This is the best desi vegetarian food at relatively (surprisingly) lower price. BTW, we tried other (more expansive!) places in Surrey, the food was bad and service even worse.
So 5 stars for a 10 star food! Highly recommended.

we just had a dinner tonight, food is average, nothing great taste, more pricy I feel paid for the dinner platter, instead of 3 sabji they gave us only two and very less quantity. only Naan was good, Tea was good but had to pay extra, they trick us about the price of Lassi and charged for Mango shake which is @2 more/​glass. I am not going to spend $ 50 for 3 people only to get veg !!!
