Surrey Public Library

This is a review of their children’s section.
The kids’ section here is tiny compared to some of the other libraries I have been to. I really do like the red fire truck but what’s the point of having one in the kids’ section when the kids aren’t even allowed to really play in it.
I come from downtown Vancouver where they have this amazing kids’ section in the Vancouver Public Library.
The librarians were quite patient with kids and the kids were allowed to play with the toys that were made available at the library.
Here at this Surrey library, if a kid makes a loud sound, we get the glaring looks from the librarians.
I only come in to get what I need and get out. With a 3 year old in tow, I do not get the welcoming looks from few of the librarians.

I really only paid attention to one thing, and that is the kids section. Holy crap is it ever HUGE. Kudos to creating a great kids section complete with a big red fire truck.
I was impressed.
