I am very disappointed with the business etiquette of this studio as well as the lack of compassion, interpersonal and communicative skills of the owners. My personal experience dates back about a year ago when I attended the studio to speak with the owner about how my volunteering skills could be utilized to help with costumes. I arrived early and as I was introduced to the instructor/owner, she ignored my existence and turned to her student aggressively stating«I don’t have time for this, go get ready and we’ll do it another time». No introduction, no hand shake, no acknowledgement… Just ignorance! This experience deterred me away from offering to assist with anything other than my own families needs. I have heard constant remarks on how disrespectful this woman is towards her students and the hard working parents that pay good money to send their children to her business… In a business like this, these student become your family, your community and should feel supported, but instead these children are criticized and talked to negatively. If you want your business to grow and flourish you should look into becoming a team, be supportive with the people that provide your income rather than lash out at them for voicing their honest option. Threatening to dismiss your dancers is only taking the food out of your own mouth because there are other dance studios in the area that have reputable business etiquette, and yes maybe a bit more money, but happiness and respect go a lot farther than a dollar.
