Its new name is Watch & Clock World. The two gentlemen who work there are very friendly and work efficiently. I went there to get battery replacements(4 watches @ $ 10 each) and straps adjusted(2 straps @ $ 5 each). If you pay with cash, they don’t charge tax. I haven’t been to a watchman in years because I couldn’t find one nearby that was reasonably priced. This place is great because they don’t overcharge you and if they’re not busy, they do everything right on the spot. For the six watches that I brought in, it took about 10−15mins. I had the option of walking around the mall or staying and waiting. I chose to wait. The gentleman who owns the store has been in the business for over 20 years. His father used to own the original store before they moved to the Promenade. They also have another location in Mississauga. I will definitely be coming back whenever I need any of my multiple watches repaired or batteries replaced.

Wonderful, knowledgable and amazingly fast. Been there three times for various battery and strap related adjustments. Highly recommended if you know what you need done and want it done while you wait.

Called and asked how much it was to replace a watch battery, and the man said he would have to see the watch. I asked for a ballpark figure(reasonable no?) and he rudely cut me off and repeated that he needed to see it. I hung up.

This is my usual watch battery replacement place since it’s close and they’re quick! As for watch and clock selections, not as much as when they were located on the first floor but it seems like their focus now is more watch repairs. The manager normally gives me a good discount when I bring in more watches at once(3+, I’m a watch junkie) and gives it back same day(usually on the spot when there isn’t a line-up). I’ve been going to this guy since he was at Thornhill Square long time ago and now Promenade Mall. The manager, John, has a really good memory and always remembers me when I go in which makes the experience personable!

I’m sure they can do all the standard procedures like battery replacement and such but I’m giving them 1 star for the HORRIBLE customer service over the phone. Just called to ask for an idea how much to replace a battery and got some snooty mouthed lady giving me sarcastic remarks for not coming in person. Sheesh.
