This is the only bargain store in the Yonge & Eglinton area at least within a suitable walking distance. By comparison to the giant«dollar store» chain Dollarama, it’s barely half the size. Much like Dollarama, there are a number of items that cost more than a buck or two and some more like $ 10, That said, despite the smaller store size, I can usually find what I’m looking for, i.e. basic kitchen items, zip-lock bags, screws, and tape. Of course, they do have that inferior candy that rots your teeth but that you may crave once in a while too! Where Dollarama has a larger store and bigger selection, they carry alot more niche items that you’d be quick to bypass when you’re shopping or unnecessarily buy and regret later. This store is smart in stocking items that may have limited utility but crosses items off your shopping list. They also have a small seasonal section that they rotate based on the occasion/holiday. Location-wise, the are located on Eglinton street level tucked away a hall between the LCBO and one of the attached apartment buildings that border Duplex and Old Orchard. It’s not the easiest to find but perhaps they save a bit on rent as a result.
