The food is your average pub food, and compared to other food on campus it is moderately priced. However, the atmosphere of this place is what gets me coming back all the time. The pitchers are priced well, and they have the best draft selection on campus — they also usually have a local brew on tap, which is awesome. It’s a great place to spend time with friends in the evening, and a great place to grab a coffee and study during the day. The staff are also super friendly.

Came here to meet up with my classmates to plan a presentation for class. It was very quiet and not a lot of people were there so that was good because it’s nearly impossible to find a quiet, study space for groups on the York Campus. But, it’s also sort of hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area. I had to ask a couple of people where it was and many didn’t know of it. Since this is a food review, I would have to say the food wasn’t amazing. I had their daily special, Roast Beef Melt on a Toasted Ciabatta bun for around $ 6 – 7. It was really salty. If it weren’t for the mediocre coleslaw and the tough-skinned pickle, I don’t think I could’ve gone through it. But I was also hungry so. It had a lot of dijon mustard on the inside though and the colour of the cheese was too artificial looking but I guess it didn’t both me that much. I liked that the bun was really crispy though and it tasted a little garlicky which I also liked. The cutlery(knife) had some crusty bits stuck on it still but I had to use it to cut my sandwich so I just rubbed it off and forgot that I did just so I could continue eating it. Overall, I guess it’s a nice study place for a quick, cheap bite to eat. Especially for campus food, what more would you expect. There were a couple of students that got beers so maybe that’s what keeps it going.

Average food at an average price. I ordered a hot dog, and shared garlic bread and mozzarella sticks with a friend. It was just okay, nothing to write home about. I might come back for a beer, but probably not for food.

Guiness, Strongbow, Blue Ribbon, Moosehead, etc on tap. This is a student operated bar with a large patio and 2 dart boards and tvs hanging off the walls. In the daytime, grab a cup of coffee and get studying. At night, grab a pitcher or two and enjoy the loud atmosphere. Last call at 1:45am, they want you out of there by 2:15. There always tends to be a lineup from around 9 – 10:30pm on most nights so come early. Thursdays are pub nights. The food is all oven baked or microwaved. They do not own a deep fryer… which means no fries, poutine, chicken wings. Also they don’t sell burgers =( Vegetarian friendly choices, and they have food specials every weekday.
