The pros: * Good kimchi chigae; * Polite wait staff; The cons: * Lacklustre/mediocre panchan except the baechu kimchi was nice and vinegary(just how I like it); * Pusan-style twaeji-gogi kukbap(ttukbegae) was almost good; * Need to increase their ttukbegae repertoire. Not quite a four and definitely not a five.

I walked in alone for lunch today. The waitress greeted me in Korean. Then she kept speaking to me in Korean. I sat down and order the food since the menu is in English. My tofu veg soup came with purple rice. The side dish was good with 7 choices. Overall the food was very good and the service experience is also very good!

Visited this restaurant with family and thought it was still Kkot Hal Mae Dumplings & Noodles(which used to be Man Doo Hyang and served the same dumplings/mandoo). I was kind of confused when I saw a different name on the sign but its DineSafe sign still said Kkot Hal Mae. It was very disappointing to see the new menu didn’t have the handmade chewy noodles anymore. There is a dumplings and rice cake soup, a steamed pork mandoo, and steamed kimchi mandoo, and spicy dumplings hotpot. We had a dumpling and noodles soup. The dumplings were different than Kkot Hal Mae Dumplings but were still very big and filled with minced meat and chives. The rice cake was meh — not chewy and was quite soft. It was an okay dish, and at least not as much MSG was used in the soup as Myungdong Kalkuksu.
