Alligator Party

The man who answers the phone is very crusty and rude to work with. Will not be ordering from them again. An online order and payment system would be so much easier and an email trail of the conversation. I was frustrated that I had to keep calling them and then that the guy was so unpleasant to talk to. Also, to secure your order you have to fax in your credit card info, which is so old school. Surely they can come up with a better system. Will not be working with them again. Very unpleasant experience.

Used them for my wedding, used them for several showers, even used them for a Christmas dinner when I didn’t have a table big enough. Each time, they were super easy to deal with, and also very, very well priced. Usually I just call up (a real person usually answers right away if you call during business hours) and reserve the stuff I need, they are pretty no fuss. They are close to my house and have parking too.

Alligator is a straight forward and affordable party rental place that’s gotten me out of a few jams. If you hate buying disposable plates, you can rent real ones here for just a smidge more.
They have their prices on the website and never seem to be out of anything. It also helps they’re close to my house and have parking. The guys aren’t the happiest, but they’re not rude or anything, just don’t expect them to sing a song and tap dance.

I’m the kind of doofus who announces he’s going to have a large dinner party before working out the details of how, exactly, I’m going to pull it off. I knew I needed a large-​ish banquet table and a bunch of cheapo folding chairs to seat my influx of dinner guests in what was to be a civil and orderly affair.
After checking out a few options, and remembering that I don’t have a car, I remembered a friendly alligator waiter graphic on a sign down at Dupont and Bathurst, a mere 10-​minute walk from my place. Their list of products is viewable online, and I thought the prices were reasonable, so I called and booked the aforementioned table and chairs. I recruited the help of a good friend on the day of the party, and carried the goods from the rental shop home, and back the following Monday (they were closed Sunday).
Sure, the dudes who run the place ain’t all smiles, but with the range of articles for rent and prices at this place, I think that’s something I can happily overlook.
The party was great, by the way.

$ 4 bucks to rent a dozen wine glasses! I got 6 dozen for $ 25 bucks. That is amazing. And I don’t have to wash them, just empty whatever’s left and put the dirty glasses back in the case, and return them to Alligator Party Rentals.
These guys are quick and efficient. Call in advance and they’ll have your rental waiting for you. Easy as pie.
They also rent soooo much stuff. Glasses, platters, entire table settings, chafing dishes, decorations. Seriously a great resource if you are having a party. And really, who loves having a party where you don’t have to wash dishes or glasses after? WE DO!
