Amber Imp – Ex Corp.

I hired this Company to install 8 Windows and Copper Door. The purpose of the purchased was to better my home as the old door and window were 20 years old. Milan was very friendly and explained most of the procedure, we paid a deposit and advanced money as job progressed. We were very professional and willing to work with Milan on quite a few issues with product from damage to door, several defects to windows and one window was wrong size. We were told all would be fixed (they had 4 attempts to fix no luck) we asked for replacement due to Factory defects. Company could not provide CSA Certification. Milan refused and said he would need more money to continue work. Now with 75% of work completed and 85% of our money handed over to the Company.(Company Breached Contract) Milan’s Quote «No More Money No More Work. „We refused to pay until we got results. Company walked away from job and hired a Collection Agency to try and get the balance due from Contract $ 1.200.00.Company had us spend 2 years in Court Defending our Rights.(Consumer Protection Act) We Won a Judgement against Amber Imp-​Ex Corp it was a far cry from what we should of received (FULL REFUND). We received a devastating$ 1,480.00 only being out $ 12,000.00 with money given to company and court costs. I feel the Justice System failed in this case. I had 2 Expert Home Inspection Firms provide reports on the quality of product, the CSA Standards that were not met. The product not being designed for this type installation and Canadian Climate. We lost money with this bad company. I learned from my mistakes. I will be forced to live with my mistake and poor judgment choosing this company and the thrash that was installed for a bit longer until I can recoup my losses and hire a professional company to take out the trash (so to speak). I will never forgive Milan, the company for the way they took advantage of us, and the way we were treated. Hope you have learned how to improve on your mistakes and see to it that you never do this to another customer.“ Has the company you’re thinking of working with received positive testimonials from past clients? All service companies should have a testimonial list from satisfied customers as long as your arm. If they don’t, ask why. If they can’t give an answer and are unable to refer you to someone to verify the quality of their service, then look somewhere else».(This company could not provide any of this statement)

He uses any Contractor he can find I had 3 different ones on my job.(1) Was not licensed only 2 weeks in the country. Several address changes in just over 2 years. Current address is a Post Office Box at the Postal Outlet on Bloor.
