Decent Chinese bakery, but the prices have been increasing every year and the portions have been decreasing… they should really re-evaluate how they price their bakery goods if they keep shrinking the size of their products!

I am from Mississauga and I always come to this place when I need to get bakery for my family. I have to say, I can’t find a better bakery in Mississauga. They have a lot of varieties in store to choose from and their swiss roll are pretty good too.

This is one of my favorite Asian bakery. I love how clean it is and I can see part of the kitchen. This bakery has a variety of sweet or savory buns at a competitive price. Their Swiss rolls aren’t cheap but it’s pretty tasty. I also adore the glass display case that is extremely clean and there’s always a variety of cakes/tarts. Only complaint I have with this place is their lines are way too long. No matter how many people are working that day there’s always a line. That’s because the cashiers are extremely efficient and they think wiping off the trays is more important than the huge lineup.

I really like this place! although it’s chaotic sometimes and the line can get long and messy. I still choose to come by whenever I want to get a cake, since I feel they make them really well: D (it could just be that my mom used to always get my bday cakes here). as far as I can tell, they’re cash-only and the prices you see have tax included.

Clean, small bakery inside chartwell mall. Their buns and egg tarts are delicious but limited selection on cakes and buns of the day. It could be the day I went though. Their cake selection seems to change a lot. They also do sweet tables for weddings with sweet selection that varies depending on what the chef likes to make. We are having them do our sweets table for June and the caterer who works with them are say that they only provide«chef choices» and we can’t really pick what we want which is a bit of a problem which is why I’m docking a star for not being flexible.

Great selection of cakes at a good price! Their mini cakes and their regular sized cakes are super pleasing to the eye and yummy in your tummy — I recommend coming here for a snack for for buying cakes for celebratory purposes. The egg tarts are also super yummy! :D Might be one of the best egg tarts I’ve had. There’s also ALWAYS a line at this bakery — so you know it’s good!

*3.5 stars* Aromaz is a slightly pricey bakery with a single note-worthy item, their above-par egg tart. Aside from their egg tarts, I do not see how their baked goods are so much more«superior» to justify their pricing. Their ingredients are not special. Their baked goods are not necessarily the most freshly baked. I hear from others that recommend Aromaz’s wife cakes(approx. $ 1.10-$ 1.20/each). I think they are alright. The buns are a bit pricey, at $ 1.00 or more/each. The buns taste like any other Chinese bakery buns. Not a standout. They sell whole and sliced cakes at the counter, too. I cannot comment on the cakes since I never tried them. As for the buns, I worry that they may not be fresh. When I came here at closing time recently, I saw the ladies covering the leftover buns with saran(plastic) wrap and moving the trays into the kitchen.(I suspect they will be resold the next morning as «fresh» buns.) They do not offer closing discounts. Everything is still at full price. So, buyer beware! What I really do come to Aromaz for are for their egg tarts($ 1.00/each) and its convenience. They offer two versions of their egg tart: one that has pie/tart-like«butter» crust, and the other that has a «thousand-layer» crust. Both versions are $ 1.00/each. I recommend the«thousand layer» version. The crust is wonderfully flaky and light. Also, this is an item that sells out daily, so I don’t have to worry if it is fresh or not. The egg custard has nice colouring to it. It is a well-made egg tart, and tastes just swell. That said, all in all, I still believe Fragrant’s egg tarts are the best in the city($ 0.90/each). In terms of the actual egg tart custard(the insides), I prefer Fragrant bakery’s egg tarts over the Aromaz version. The only downfall is that Fragrant’s egg tarts sell out incredibly quickly, and oftentimes, you must wait 20−30mins before the next batch of egg tarts are ready. And this is why I go to to Aromaz. It’s a very good back-up for egg tarts for guests and family members, if you’re in a hurry and do not want to risk waiting for Fragrant’s egg tarts. Aromaz bakery is located inside Chartwell Shopping Centre at Brimley Rd and Huntingwood Dr. Cash only. If you’re not particular about the taste of your egg tarts, they sell baked goods at BestCo supermarket(within the same plaza) for a fraction of the price($ 2-$ 3 for 6 egg tarts). Plenty of parking on the weekdays for the entire Chartwell Plaza. Fragrant bakery is located inside the shopping centre at Midland Ave and McNicoll Ave(where the Yee Hong Centre is).

3.5 Star Aromaz is a Chinese bakery located right beside the food court of Chartwell Mall. Here you won’t find the best deal $ 1 for 3 buns? Buy 5 get 1 free? Here you might even need to pay a little more than some other Chinese bakeries in the area. But I tell you come try the egg tart($ 1) here! Just love that buttery flaky crust and the filling just has this great smooth taste of silky egg… I will just shut up and eat my egg tart… BTW, their store made chestnut tart looks just as interesting… I am going to try that next time!

My family comes here regularly since the quality is good and the bakery is confirmed to be peanut-free. I came on a Sunday around 5pm and they were almost empty. The correct name cards were not always in front of the matching product which was a bit annoying. Some of these buns look the same so I want to make sure I’m getting the one with filling I want! Also, they don’t seal each individual bag which can result in your bun being exposed sometimes when placed in the larger plastic bag. –Coconut buns: Delicious, lots of filling –Mango swiss roll & chestnut swiss roll: both delicious, very fine crumb, nice and light, excellent flavour, 2 small ones for $ 6(or $ 3.50 each) –Wife cake(): disappointing, not sweet at all, avoid We’ve also ordered birthday cakes from here many times. I like the mango and the chestnut ones. The black forest one has cherry jello in it which I don’t really like. The cakes aren’t overly sweet and always taste fresh.

Got food poisoning after consuming a couple of baked goods. The cakes were tasteless and dry. Disappointing and will not visit again.

Great bakery inside Chartwell Plaza by the food court. Lots of traffic so lots of fresh stuff throughout the day. Got all the usual stuff plus some interesting things like hot dogs.
