I visited this morning, wanted to buy my team at work a nice treat for a job well done. They refused to sell a dozen bagels to me this morning because they were concerned that there might not be enough for other customers. I could see that there were at least 100 bagels in the bins. Terrible customer service. Happy to spend my money buying a dozen muffins next door.

I have NEVER received worse customer service in my life. Three different staff members on three different occasions were all extremely rude and spoke over me. The bagels are incredibly over-priced. Over $ 6 for cream cheese and vegetables. I’ve learned my lesson. Won’t be ordering from here again.

A great place for a quick breakfast for Go train riders. The restaurant is hidden in the corner of Union station right beside the Go Transit ticket booths(beside second cup). The staff are friendly and move with military precision. You get in and out in minutes regardless how long the line might be. They sell about 10 — 15 types of bagels. Warning — The bagels are good but don’t expect true«Montréal» style bagels. They easily have 20 or more types of cream cheese for your bagel. I normally get a toasted Pumpernickel bagel with Cheddar cheese and no butter. You can get multiple cheeses, BLT and various meats and salmon. Price is also good for downtown core — a bagel & cheese and coffee is about $ 4. Also much healthier than other fast food choices in Union Station. They appear to be open every day as I stop by when I’m working weekends. I find if you show up later in the day, bagel choices become limited, so arrive early. BK

I like Bagel Stop’s bagels, their good selection of cream cheeses and tasty bagel sandwiches in the afternoon, but this location has some shortcomings(at least on some days): — they sometimes set their toasters too hot(to speed things up), so your bagel might come out singed on the outside and cold on the inside(a la most Tim Horton’s) — they’re sometimes a little stingy with the cream cheese — they don’t always take your order right away when you get there(I’m not A.D.D., but this *is* Union Station — people are in a rush!) — you might have to repeat your order a few times as your bagel makes its way down the line to the cash register(I’m not expecting Cheers here — you don’t have to know my name and order every morning, just a little internal coordination!) I don’t want to be overly negative — the bagels are good, and it’s a family-run business where they work very long gruelling hours doing thankless work. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by my old Bagel Stop at 4 King Street West(in the PATH, just outside underground entrance to King Station), which is about a flawless as a bagel place gets.
