In all my years dealing with banks and the rules around holds, cheques, credit, etc., I have never been made to feel more unwanted, more like a criminal, than when I try to deposit properly-​encoded Canadian cheques here. There is one very lovely teller (usually deals with business), but the others don’t seem to last long, so everything becomes a matter to negotiate with the manager (which will suck up your time).If you have a small business or are a freelancer, avoid at all costs.
