If you are training, you need to take care of your body by investing in quality equipment. I learned this the hard way, through two injuries. The staff at Beatdown take your protection seriously and will help you find the equipment that is best for you. Female friendly, women fighters aren’t patronized or talked down to, but are treated with respect. They have good connections with the gyms and coaches around down, so are pretty in tune with training in Toronto. Let them know where you’re training, and you’ll likely get a discount. This is my favourite fight store in the city.

Great selection, good prices and really friendly staff. The guy who was there was very knowledgable and helpful in helping me find some gear for muay thai. I got some really great wraps for apparently a really great price. I was also in the market for some workout wear, which was on sale, but they didn’t have my size. They do have a great variety of women’s wear, though, which surprised me. I’m definitely going back, if anything because now my brother wants a pair of the wraps I bought.

Beatdown is one of the best MMA/Boxing apparel stores in town. They have a big selection of boxing boots, gloves and amateur kits(only place in town I can find that sells amateur kits!). Also carry: — Muay thai/boxing/MMA gloves — Other protective gear(mouthguards, shin pads, knee pads, head gear) — Muay thai pads — Focus pads — Handwraps — Rashguards — Heaps of MMA apparel(Tapout, Throwdown, WAND, Rival, etc) The owner, Marko Beatdown, knows his stuff. He can hook you up.
