I have been looking to get a steel roof installed and came across a contact that I had saved from a Mike Holmes episode. As its getting time to eventually change my roof o decided to contact Better Contracting as most of the reviews were 9⁄10. To get the ball rolling I contacted the office and was assigned to a sales rep my the name of Josh. Communication via email and telephone seemed much more difficult then expected from a recognized company that appears on a television show. After a few calls and emails and«I’ll call you back in 10 minutes» i eventually got in touch after I placed a call 7 hrs afterwards. To boot, the call was dropped, waited to see if I would be called back and not nothing. So what the heck I’ll give it another shot, be proactive and call back again. I reached out to him explained that first impressions are not working well in his favour. Explained that i was looking for Decra product to be installed on my roof as I’m in the process of getting solar panels so why not get this all done at the same time. Right! Wrong. Appointment was booked for a Thursday night, I invited 3 neighbours over as we are all in the need of roof replacement which could lead to a bulk savings. All of them including myself shifted there scheduled to accommodate this meeting. Win win for all parties. All was planned, no call the day of to confirm and that’s were it all went to hell. Sent a text to Josh @ noon the day of, only to be surprised that he was not going to make it due to a family emergency. I get this, stuff happens. The kicker is «as per his text» he had contacted the office to have another Sales rep come out which the secretary/book keeper didn’t have a clue about. By the way her name was Rosanna and she was the most ignorant, unprofessional person I have yet to speak to. The expectation was I would need to wait 3 weeks until he comes back and no other sales rep could be given to me. I guess business is booming and my business which could have included 3 other properties were not important. Since she had no clue on how to proceed I requested to have the owner Mike contact me directly. To date no call. I even placed a call on Monday Feb 1⁄16 still no call back. All I can say is what a shame that a company that Mike Holmes see a preferred contracting would handle there customers this way. I guess I picked a bad one. If this is the follow up in how a company deals with potential clients, I would be very cautious. Best of luck for those who move forward. Thanks
