The reason this place is called Bite Bar? Because you can’t eat more than one bite of these disgusting, bitter cupcakes. I bought these cupcakes for a going away party at work… and no one could even eat them. $ 36 for 18? I’d rather have thrown my money in the trash than watch my workers running to the kitchen/washroom to throw these up. These cupcakes are inedible, not simply bad– but inedible. The most adequate way I can describe the taste is a combination of too much banking soda, sugar, poorly mixed. It’s obvious the owners behind this establishment haven’t had any formal culinary education. My advise is to STAYFARFAR away… Stick to Prarie Girl or even opt for Longos cupcakes, anything is better than Bite Bar.

Mini treats were overpriced and not particularly good… Stick with Prairie Girl Cupcakes. Staff were very friendly and helped arrange an order of mixed treats. — Mini cup cakes were dry with plain icing — Cookies were hard, I prefer soft and chewy — Macrons were blah — brownie was dry — Mini cheesecake was the only decent item I tried My mixed treats cost $ 35 and I had so little to show for it. Plus they didn’t taste very good. Guess I’m not surprised this store is never very busy. Not recommended BK

This relatively new location of Bite Bar is located in the Path and professes to bring you desserts«without the guilt». It remains to be seen if bite-size cupcakes are as popular up North as they are in New York(cf. Baked by Melissa). Bite Bar looks like a compartment in a space ship, modern even if not inviting and cozy. Besides the cupcakes, Bite Bar also makes macarons, tarts and marshmallow bars. My favorite is the Just Bite Me! cupcake, that is vanilla stuffed with raspberry purée. The cookies n’ cream cupcake is a light chocolate cake topped with cookie crumble. The list goes on, with a dozen choices, of which I have tried most. I am not convinced that someone with a real yearning for dessert would settle for bite-sized treats. There is a certain satisfaction that only comes from a generous helping, rather than multiple bites, of your favorite pastry. A clear case of 1 + 1 falling well short of 2.
