The guy who owns this place is super awesome. A few of us dropped in, asked him for a tour. Sure! you wanna join this group and I’ll give you the start of the tour after them? Sure! Start you off with beers in your hand, bring you in to show you the bottling machines. Shows you his labeling machines. Brings you out for another drink. Then, off to the fridge. In here is beer. Then back out for more beer. Then people leave and he gives us more beer, then shows us the brewing machines. Man, these machines are expensive. I really like how he gets the farmers to come here to pick up some goodies for their farms. Come on by and have a drink. He’s doing his own thing, board game nights and whatever else. And did I mention I love the Nut Brown Ale. First time I had this I loved it and went to buy a case. In your local beer stores when available. Too bad he was all out at the time because demand is so high. Keep up the good stuff! Only thing that would make the tour better, coming when they are producing or bottling!

Black Oak Brewery is one of the few local breweries in the Toronto area. It is not only a retail store where you can pick up some of their beers which are seasonal and not available in LCBO or beer stores. If you do ask nicely, you even get a private tour of the facilities and gets to taste a couple of beers!!!(5 to be exact!!) Summer Sasion and 10 Bitter Year are only available in the brewery as 6 Packs which I now have them in my fridge ready for a patio party! We also tasted some small batch IPA on tap only… and of course their usual Pale Ale and Nutty Brown Ale… Which one is my favourite? I think I need to sample them again to find out! I definitely coming back for a visit next time when I in the area! Maybe even for some of the events they host like Game Night!
