(disclaimer: I feel like something like this is very subjective, and my rating may not reflect what some others might experience. The over makeup was okay, and I really liked the products she used, however, just didn’t fit me and my style — and some other things could have been better) I came across a Groupon deal for them, and I wanted to use it to get a Trial for my wedding. Soon after I purchased it, I realized that they only do makeup, and not hair(fyi). I spoke to the owner and makeup artist and she was quite friendly on the phone, and for the most part okay at getting back to me. I had asked if she had recommendations for someone to do hair for me as well, and told me about an amazing person that she works with. I asked for her name, and she didn’t want to give it out. I had to change the date of my trial, so when I called to rebook, she was unable to reach the hair person, and apologized and complained about her unprofessional-ism and told me she wouldn’t work with her again. I’m not really sure what to make of this. It was a rainy thunderstorm morning and she came to my place with all her stuff. I wish she had told me her requirements for good lighting, as my small apartment wasn’t the best, and I would not have minded going to her instead. Her hair was wet, and she was in a hurry. This was supposed to be a trial for wedding and not just a make up application. I wish there was more consultation about what I wanted and colours and things, but she basically just did her thing and left. My makeup was okay, but I’m one of those asians with no eyelids. There is a different technique to doing the eyes this way(I know how, but couldn’t do it myself). When I told her, she didn’t seem to know or willing to do it. I did like the products she used, like MAC and Clinque, and some higher end makeup stuffs. She did say that she’ll give me an email with her pricing and more details so that I have it, should I decide to go with her. Needless to say, I am not planning to, but she never got in touch with me either.
