Absolutely disgusting attitude. I brought students to the st lawrence market to show them a staple of the toronto community. I was super excited, and as my students start asking questions about their product the man behind the counter (missing a few teeth) said «fuck off and get a job». For a butcher that is open early on a weekday, I think he could do better. My students were stunned and horrified. I wouldn’t even give it a single star. I’ve never seen someone who works with customers act like that, it was GROSS AND EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE

Another high quality butcher in the St Lawrence Market.
I really enjoy some of their products — the quality is very good and the pricing is competitive to the rest of the market. They carry the canoe cut marrow bones which are hard to find elsewhere, and occasionally have sale prices on select products so you can find a real deal here.
Highly recommended.

I purchased some extra lean ground beef and boneless, skinless chicken breasts from Brown’ Brothers. I was very happy with the price for the quality of meat that I purchased. I wasn’t very impressed with the service, however; the individual who served me seemed rude and impatient, as if I was interrupting him from doing something far more important. I didn’t even have any questions for him, although his attitude would have deterred me from asking questions anyway — not great. I’ll be returning, but definitely for the meat and not for the service.

I have been shopping at Brown Brothers for the past year. There service and prices are unbeatable. I have looked around at other butchers in the area and nothing compares. I would highly recommend shopping from them!

I was harassed and verbally abused by one of the workers here!
It was on October 6 2014 at around 6 pm. I was walking around the area then when I came close by their booth, he stopped and asked me as to what the hell am I doing here also he said that for us to leave because this is not Hong Kong.
I get it, racism is not new anymore. Still this is just wrong.

Just went there yesterday to grab 2 NY Striploin Steak (@$ 8.99/lb) and bacon wrapped fillet mignon for only $ 6!!!
The quality and cuts of those meats were amazing! I spent $ 22.45 for all those meats, cooked it for dinner, and it was DELISH! I don’t think I’ll be going to big chain supermarkets again for steaks. Brown Brothers’ quality of meat is much much much much better.
Will be returning soon for sure! Thanks Brown Brothers for giving us Torontonians a chance to taste what local meat taste like!
