What a great yoga studio ! From the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave you feel refreshed. Took the first 101 class with Meredith last year and it was fantastic. This weekend will register again for the next sessions. I really enjoy the instructors and all the staff are very helpful ! The studio upstairs is very nice with wood floors, lots of light and it’s a pleasant room. When you first lay out your mat and start stretching waiting for others, the room is quite and very calming. I always leave rejuvenated and have the feeling that I can’t wait to go back.

Ahh… that was so nice. I am a complete yoga novice. And so glad I started my yoga journey here! The studio is located in the village, on the south-east corner of Church and Maitland. Upon entering the building, I felt a calmness. It was quiet and warm, inviting… I’d even say spiritual. I took my shoes off and went up the stairwell to the first level. I was greeted by a very pleasant worker, and offered a comfy seat upon an oversized cushion on the floor. Its… kind of cool to be that close to the ground, watching people come in an out. Felt like I was back in grade school, sitting on the floor during classes :) The studio is wonderful. Wood floors, calming colours. There is a smaller studio on the main level, and then upstairs in the main studio. It was warm and cozy, honestly I didnt want to leave this little place of heaven! My instructer Vrinda was wonderful! I joined a restorative yoga session, very good for beginners like me. Her voice was soothing, she was very attentive to each of us. There were 4 in the session, so remained intimate. We had beatiful music playing in the background. I will be coming back here for more sessions. This is a place where you can feel… like you are a part of something. Its not like a yoga session at a fitness centre at all, its much more intimate and personable, I felt a sense of community here. Come in yourself to appreciate it! Some practical details: parking is available on the street, or it is very close to the Wellesley subway station. There are changerooms and bathrooms(very clean!!). They have mats if you dont bring one yourself :)

This studio makes your body feel buddhalicious. …Even though that’s not a real word, but you know what I mean. This studio is a bit hard to find, it’s located on the southeast corner of Church and Maitland. The staff here are friendly and welcoming. I was taking a restorative yoga class with Lana with my Passport to Prana pass. The small studio was cozy and intimate. The class was very slow and relaxing, perfect if you are looking for a slow stretch. A lot of ground work using pillows to relax. Warning: If you are tired, do not go to this class. It’s so relaxing that it’s hard to not roll over and go to bed. It reminded me of a giant slumber party with bolsters, blankets… and once that eye pillow hit my face I was ready for a nap. During relaxation, I’m pretty sure Lana was singing a beautiful chant. My mind went from busy to calm to wanting to dream. I got up, feeling good and headed over to Chinos Locos for an after yoga burrito! Great class though if you are looking for something different to calm your mind. Lana is a great upbeat instructor and her chants are a nice personal addition to the class.

I went here with my Passport to Prana card. It’s located at Church and Wellesley. The people who work here are very friendly and the class was great! The class I took was done by candlelight, so it was very relaxing. I’ve been to a bunch of yoga studios with the Passport to Prana card and so far they have all been excellent. In that respect Buddha Body was typical. I would definitely go back there if it was more conveniently located for me.

Passport To Prana is welcome at Buddha Body Yoga which is a cute little studio on Church Street just side of Wellesley. The entrance is really small just signs on the small entrance door so it is quite easy to miss. The studio has 2 levels. The first level is where the reception area, a mediation room, man/woman change room and 1 unisex bathroom located. The practice room which located in the top level has nice hard wood flooring and brightly lit with skylight. There are tons of props for you to utilize. Our instructor is nice and cheerful and really clear with all her instructions. Really appreciate that she goes around and help us to deepen our poses with her nice soft touch, the neck massage at the end is really soothing! Though it is a yin class, the music is quite upbeated. I highly recommend this studio as it is a nice and friendly studio. They do have organize a lot of workshops if you are interest in deepen your practice both in the physical and mediation aspect of yoga.
