Lovely little coffee spot in the beaches. Great cappuccino using Cut Coffee beans. Would be nicer if they have more seating, especially for winter. They have only a few bar chairs and a couch.

This place served up a great flat white. It’s time The Beach served up more than your cookie cutter starbucks!

As a coffee aficionado myself, I can’t help but be so excited every time I discover a new indie café in Toronto. Bud’s is a great space and in a great neighbourhood! Their lattes, cappuccinos and other espresso drinks are great. They expertly craft great beverages using quality beans(Cut roasters — Sam James). The coffee is smooth, aromatic and beautiful. The only quibble is that I see a lot of flies really taking it to their pastries every time I visit. :( While the space is great(rustic with a hippie vibe), it’s not a place to hang out. There’s not a lot of chairs and/or tables but then again with this place being beach-side(almost), why would you want to be indoors?

Wonderful, love the latte. Great spot. The boys working there are great made a cute design in the foam. Good location with a TTC stop right outside.

I’m positive I don’t want to be served coffee by awkward, disinterested teenage bros who couldn’t be bothered to explain to the customer after me what cold brew coffee is. My iced soy latte was weak and watery, as was my friend’s cortado. Just because you can pour the foam into a flower shape, doesn’t mean the coffee is up to par. Disappointed.

Outstanding Americans coffee last few times I went over there, when it opened I don’t remember being so impressed. Funny cavernous space with slightly awkward searing arrangement, but they seem to be working on it and adding some comforts.

Great cozy local coffee spot. It’s a nice addition to the area. It’s my go to for a delicious latte and treat. Not to mention they have amazing butter tarts now too!

The hot and iced drinks are both legit. The service is nice-ish bro hipster types. The sandwiches are fine-ish. Not a ton of seating inside except for stools by the window. But I appreciate the bench outside in the summer time. Nice addition in the beaches since Wunderland closed its doors :(

Best cappuccino in the Beach. Low key atmosphere, great staff, perfect counter at a nice sunny window for a leisurely drink while reading the paper. Baked goods, sandwiches — all really nice. My fave(only) coffee spot in the neighbourhood.

Really really happy to have a place like this in the Beaches. It’s a welcomed addition to the Starbucks and Tim Hortons. The service was really fast and really friendly. The vibe inside is awesome, hipstery, and unique. The cappuccino looked nice and tasted even better. Apparently, the espresso was exactly what it should be. My new coffee shop!!!

Horrible customer service! The espresso machine wasn’t working properly, I happened to overhear one barista talking to another. I was the only one waiting in the coffee shop and they didn’t even acknowledge that I had to wait over 10 minutes for my latte. Won’t be returning.

The cappuccino is okay. A little too milky for me. I like my cappuccino a bit stronger. I had better. The pastries are bad. I had the blueberry cake. Looking for a better place near the beaches

I love everything about Bud’s Coffee Bar! From the simple industrial deco to the cool hipster vibe. And both our Cappuccino and Cortado were well made with nice micro milk froth for a perfect latte art! Though has limited seating, most people do have it to go as we had no problem getting our seats and enjoying our coffees with a good view of Queen St! I will definitely be coming back to Bud’s for my espresso fix whenever I am in the area!

Boom goes dynamite, welcome to the best coffee in the beach. The beach has NEVER had coffee that compared with some of the shops west of Woodbine(Mercury, Te Aro, Rooster, Dark Horse, etc). Until recently the beach only had«Wunderland» on one end and«Remarkable Bean» on the other with Oscar opening up somewhere in between. Neither are wondrous or remarkable. These two spots have a long history at the beach, but neither compared with any of those shops west of woodbine(I have tried them each at least a dozen times), and I’d have to drive out to get a decent cup until now(unless I was going for vegan milk and yes, Tori’s bakeshop(also in the beach) makes an awesome vegan coffee) The owner of Bud’s knows coffee. He has had experience working with some of the best shops in the city and is doing everything right. I’ve tried a variety of coffees ranging from lattes to cortado to espresso from each of the baristas he’s hired so far and each time the consistency of quality has been met. Bud’s has a lot of potential to get very crowded, so go now and order as much as you can before the lines start.

Nice addition to the ‘hood! «Cut Coffee» beans by Sam James. They’ve now got some seating and a beautiful raw edge window counter. And yesterday, they got their WIFI!

Finally, a good coffee shop in the beaches! The neighbourhood has moved one step closer to self sufficiency. Sam James beans are used and make for good cortados.

When I saw this place open I thought«not another coffee shop on Queen». Despite my prejudged opinion on the over saturation of independent coffee shops in the beaches I was pleasantly surprised. They don’t do drip coffee so ordered an Americano, and I can say it was the best I have had to date! It was the perfect temperature and not bitter or burnt at all. Service was friendly and fast. They had an assortment of locally sourced coffees and baked goods available at the front counter and were knowledgeable in all their products. My only complaint would be the lack of substantial food, I like to have the option of grabbing a sandwich when I’m in a coffee bar doing work or school work. Other than that highly recommend it! Great vibe, great staff, great location and more importantly great coffee! What more could you want ?!

I had heard about this new place recently and since I was in the area thought I would give it a try. It is very open concept, very warm, lots of room in the front and could benefit from a couple of small tables, though there is a very attractive window bar area at the front that would seat a few people. The layout and décor of the place is very similar to other Toronto urban indy coffee shops like Dark Horse. What really matters, though, is the coffee. I order an Americano and muffin, and both were delicious. The Americano was rich and complex and hit the spot. The muffin chocolate chip banana, was fresh and very good. The owners were very friendly. The Beach is full of coffee shops, and this is a nice standout for the location and quality of the coffee. Adding a few places to sit might make me want to hang out there rather than just a grab and go.

This is a great addition to east end. Small space and seating is limited, however, it makes it quite cozy, I would recommend it for a «grab and go» coffee spot for that reason. Owners are very friendly and polite. It has a very welcoming atmosphere where you feel like your a regular instantly at their location. I ordered the Americano with an extra shot of expresso(my classic order at most coffee shops). And it is very delicious and has great flavour. Very conveniently located right outside the streetcar stop at Elmer perfect for a quick coffee or a grab and go before commuting dT.
