I investigated many pest control businesses to help a tenant get rid of rodents. I saw good reviews for Cain. But they must have written them themselves because I had a good deal of trouble getting effective service from them. Mr Cain pest removal said he was regularly going to another location near my tenant’s place and that the area was both familiar to him, and he knew how to deal with rodents especially. He charged $ 350, which he said was guaranteed for a year. He walked the perimeter of the house and found one entry point(I had already found others and plugged them, but missed the one he saw). He put down a few traps and left. The rodents kept coming back. He took a while to answer his messages then was not returning to the tenant’s location. Finally I went back and set more traps of all kinds, I couldn’t wait for him and wanted the rodents OUT of my tenant’s place. I spoke to Mr Cain pest removal on the phone about my returning to set traps, because he was so slow to respond. He got hostile on the phone, started calling my tenant a pig, thus explaining why there were rodents etc.(I had recently bought the place and the previous landlord had not mentioned this little issue, and had also not dealt with it herself). Mr Cain pest removal kept telling me we were expecting too much, these were really smart rodents! I hadn’t realized that genetics had advanced so much in the rodent world. It’s been a few weeks since I put the additional traps in. I ran into the tenant on the street and he says«so far so good– they might be smarter than that guy you got who came to put the traps down. And by the way he was really trashing you when he came over…» Mr Cain pest removal– you are completely unprofessional. Do not use this company.
