Given the portions, I think this place is a little cheaper than Dolce which is just meters away on College Street. Its kind of hard to tell because the way a server adds to the top can make a difference, but I think you get a little more here. I can’t see a difference in flavour offerings between Crème and Dolce, but I can tell you this, Dolce is so packed you bump into people and can hardly find a seat, but at Crème, their lack of marketing means you can sit where you want, and have some peace. If someone at your table is big into cakes or chocolates, Crème might be better as it has a big selection of those items. Bonus points to Crème for having a recycling program for their waste.

Excellent gelato. One of our favorite places in the city. Friendly staff but most importantly to best gelato. My wife loves the coffee and chocolate and I love all the fruit flavors.

Stopped by Crème for a gelato fix after dinner. The woman behind the counter immediately asked if we wanted samples, nice touch. The three of us all tried different flavours and they were all delicious and creamy. While we were seated at the back, we were offered white chocolate dipped raspberries, nice crowning touch. We are big gelato fans, and we will be back at Crème for sure.

Gâteaux, chocolats, mais avant tout gelateria avec d’excellents parfums et saveurs avec en plus un personnel sympathique et souriant. Petite terrasse sympathique sur College en primeur !

I went to this café with my husband to fix my sweet tooth. Initially I said I wanted gelato, and my husband was disgusted with even the slightest thought of gelato. I looked past the gelato and noticed the truffles and macaroons on display. I bought one rum chocolate truffle, a chocolate macaroon, pistachio macaroon, and coconut. All were very good. I also drank a Lavazza cappuccino, which can never be wrong. My husband on the other hand, purchased a Ferreo gelato cone and said it was the best f&*%ing gelato he has ever had! Go figure, love that guy. Nice place, quiet, not crowded. Very good random stop.

Good gelato, really neat selection of delicious truffles, macaroons, and pastries. Love this place! Dolce gelato is steps away, but this place is really good as well.

This is a strictly gelato based review. We stopped in on a Saturday night after finding a lineup way too long to tolerate at our usual gelato joint down the street. The store was empty which meant more time to peruse and sample flavours. One thing that should have an appeal to some is the fact that they make dairy free gelato. I’m not sure the standard dairy to non-dairy ratios in gelato but since they were marketing it I’m assuming its not a common thing. We got 2 mediums for $ 10 and the bowls were overflowing with tasty desserts. Portion size was good stuff. Tastewise, I’d say middle of the pack. There are places on College Street that are both better and worse than this place so I certainly don’t have any reason to talk poorly of this place, and could see myself returning again for some sweet summertime heat relief. All in all, 3 stars.

It was my friend’s birth day last week and after having nice dinner and roaming around the city, we finally decided to go for some desserts. Initially we were gonna go to Dolce which is a block away from this dessert shop but for some reason we ended up here. Yea, i remember we parked the car in front of this store and ran to the dessert shop like a group of zombies without giving single look at the sign. Ahaha. Anyway, thanks to our desire for sugar rush, new found glory! We’ve tried several cakes. Coffee, mango, strawberry mousse, cheesecake and one i can’t seem to recall. Mousse was dreamy and cheese cake was also very delicious. I have to be honest and say i have had better. but never at this price. Mousse was not more than $ 2/piece i remember and other cakes we picked didn’t hurt our wallet at all. and they were all good as in WAY above average! Also their coconut and tiramisu gelato was AWWWWesome! By the time i left the shop i was in sugar coma and couldn’t be more careless if the world explodes in next 10 min. 2 cups of gelato with 2 flavors each, several pieces of cake cost us somewhere around $ 17. Some say you get what you paid for but in crème you can get more ;)

Excellent dessert selection, with prices lower than I’d expect for the area. The place isn’t very crowded, which could be a function of its newness or of the glut of dessert places in the area. Still, it’s a nice place to end a night out.

Decent new-ish place on College st with extensive variety of desserts. They have posh chocolate truffles at the back($ 1.75 each or they do up boxes of 5), gelato at the front and the entire mid counter is lined with a zillion desserts and cakes. The prices here seem to vary greatly — some of the options seemed overpriced and some were very reasonable. A huge slice of chocolate cake, for example, was only $ 3.50. But a finger sized mini-cannelloni was $ 2. Crème also has an extensive drinks list, mostly coffee and coffee/booze combinations. My iced coffee was $ 2.25. Spacious modern interior and a small patio are out front with 4 – 5 tables. If you return again with your receipt, they give you 10% off your next purchase.

This is a very nice pastry shop with lots of cakes, yummy truffles and gelato. The manager is very nice, the space is clean and bright. I had my daughter’s birthday party there and we had a great time. My only complaint is that we kept asking for the staff to come by and take orders for drinks and gelato as we were treating everybody and despite asking staff repeatedly for service, we never got it. We used their space and they could easily have earned twice the amount they did, if they had offered to serve people the way I had asked them to. It’s a new shop and am a fan of their product. They need to market and sell more aggressively.

Been thrice– once great, once OK, once not good. It’s a super sweet space — very big, bright, and clean. Very nice ending to a date out on college street drinking(I assume…). There are a lot of different deserts here — once I got stale cake and that sort of turned me off. I like that it brought a little competition to Dolce down the street, though– seems they turned it up a notch since. Crème is open late– which is nice– and has a large outdoor patio. The review on blogTO is not an awful writeup, but the pictures suck ass /don’t give the place justice.

I went for the gelato — yummy! I had the vanilla and my friend had had the yogurt with some type of berry mixed in(raspberry?). We were there on a Saturday night — only one other person in the café. Hopefully business will pick up with warmer weather.

Newly opened Crème is a nice gelato place, situated so close to Dolce that one expects it’s to get their run-off. However, I think that given the quality of product at Crème, the tables may turn. While not having as much variety in Gelato as Dolce, Crème offers many other sweets to tantalize your palette. One thing we tried was this fruit-sugar sweetened cake-square — AMAZING!
