They were so nice and understanding to me. You see i went in, ready to buy tea, and had to leave with almost no tea. Why the almost? Because these people were understanding that of my budget that they skimmed off my tea for me until it was so affordable that i could finally go home knowing that i didn’t break my budget. Honestly, I’m really happy about this place. Everyone is so nice, and are great tea lovers. Need tea and don’t understand differences between them, go in and they’ll help you out. My friend was buying tea for a guy friend of hers. And they spent 15 minutes helping her narrow the flavor, type, and grams down. She went home with a tea that even she wants to drink. Check this place out for tea, because if your not a tea lover, then the awesome 90’s mix they were playing at the time. Might be enough for you to at least drink some chai.

I have always had such a wonderful experience at the David’s on Queen. This location falls short. They’ve over-brewed my ice tea and have forgotten my order on several occasions. I don’t know if it’s because they’re understaffed or under-trained but every time I visit it takes way too long to get my tea. EDIT: I’ve since gone back to this location a couple of times and have concluded that my bad experiences were a result of one bad staff member, who unfortunately is there very often. I’ve increased my rating by one star because when she’s not the one taking my order, everything goes smoothly.

I came into this branch today looking for some starter kits for tea and I found a very large variety. I find that most tea stores don’t really have tasters, unless you buy the cup there. But David’s Tea has a very large selection. The service here was also great. The staff saw that I was a little lost so she approached me and gave me a little help on deciding which starter kit I should get. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely return soon for more.

DAVIDs regular here. This is one of my favourite locations, the staff are always friendly and it never seems to be too busy. Only wish is that they had more seating.

I LOVELOVELOVE David’s Tea and particularly THIS location! Why? 1. The staff are awesome! The manager(Lauren) and assistant manager(Brent) are the kinds of people that every business owner would want to have running their business! They are both friendly, knowledgeable, kind, professional, intuitive(Brent ALWAYS suggests the perfect tea for me, actually, come to think of it, so does Lauren). Oriel and Danielle and all of the others are fantastic! The teas are wonderful, there’s so much to choose from. There are lots of accoutrements that change seasonally(right now I’ve got my eye on the steeper(can be used for flavouring cocktails people!) and the lovely iced tea pitchers that just came in. I’m here daily and the staff are consistent in their top notch customer service and I always ALWAYS leave here satisfied. Am glad they finally got a loyal customer card(because god knows I’ve spent enough here since they’ve opened)! My only complaint is the price, I get that a cup of tea here is comparable to other kinds of hot beverage venues, but now at $ 3.25 a pop, I’m not loving it. Having said that, I do look forward to the new summer iced tea cups coming in(you buy one, and then all summer can get the tea that they’re featuring that day for just $ 1!). THAT makes for one sweet summer! Oh, and my David’s Tea iced tea cup(from last summer) was perfect for my trip to Cuba this winter, to hold pina coladas as well as pretty mojitos in! Need a gift? Need a hot tea? Latte? Iced? They’ve got a tea for everyone! Go now! Tell ‘em I sent you!

I can’t rave enough of David’s tea. They have some of the best blend i’ve ever tried. They’re not too expensive and the design of their stores is always so cute and welcoming. The cons could be that when they get busy the wait can be quite long, but it’s easily forgettable when it’s finally your turn and you get that excellent customer service. It’s all like all the staff there is just hired to make you happy with your tea choice. It’s very enjoyable. My favourite blend is cream of earl grey, I keep coming back to get some every month.(little bit of an addict).

This location is great. I recently bought some tea and a diffuser here and come in on occasion for teas. On my last visit, Brent waited on me. He was extremely cheerful, enthusiastic, and helpful. In fact, even for a place where you should expect great service, he exceeded expectations. The service was definitely 5 star. David’s Tea has great selection and service. The two questions I would ask(if I were in David’s Tea management) are… 1. What can we do to create a better sensory experience for our guests?(Don’t get me wrong, the place is neat as a pin. There is just not enough«experience» here.) 2. How do we create value for regular customers? Aside from getting an e-newsletter, I don’t see how being a regular customer here matters. Expect great tea selection and service at premium prices.

Very disappointed that DAVIDsTea is using so many artificial ingredients. As a tea enthusiast, I’ve experienced many teas with nothing but natural ingredients. There’s enough garbage in soft drinks and food… our tea should be healthy and natural.

Awesome tea place. I collect teas and I love the organic detox since it helps with hangovers :)

The tea selection is awesome and by the far, I think, the best corporate-owned alternative to Starbucks when it comes to tea. I still prefer local. The staff know their tea and the buying experience here is awesome. The tea leaves are loose. In lay man’s term, it’s not Lipton or Nestea. Still not getting it? It’s not in a tea bag. They have wide selection of tea kits for those who want to be like queens and have a tea party. Not that kind of tea party. You can’t party here. The place is small. And hot in the summer. But hey it’s tea. Come and enjoy.

Okay so I’m updating my review from one star to three. I contacted the staff at this location and they were super sweet and friendly and allowed me to make an exchange, no problem at all whatsoever. They also apologized and stated that they should have been more diligent. I completely agree but I’m glad that I did not have any problems making my exchange! Yay. Nay: It took us literally sifting through 20 jars of tea to find 2 teas for me without artificial/natural flavouring or stevia. I felt like we were going to go through like half the store to find something. DT: CUTITOUTWITHTHESTEVIAANDARTIFICIALCRAP. I should not have to look through like 20 teas to find something without sweetener or chemicals. Next time I’m going to research teas online before I go in so I don’t have to subject the sales person to 30 minutes of trying to find a tea without additives. I feel that the DT store should have a list of teas without sweeteners or additives to make a shopping experience for folks like me a lot easier. The lady who helped me was a total sweetheart, super nice, and even she had a stevia allergy! Come on, David’s — get this shit out of your teas or at least make us a helpful list. Also I have to say I am very pleased with my customer service experience, because within 30 minutes of posting this review I was contacted by a DT staff person trying to fix the problem. Hooray for big corporations? Glad they take their customers seriously. :) ______ OLDREVIEW(one star) I like David’s Tea. BUT. And with a one-star review, you know there’s gotta be a but! Alright, here we go: so today I went in and asked about some of their organic teas. When the woman a the counter asked which teas I would like to have, I asked her if she could pull a few off the shelf without stevia or any ‘artificial’ or ‘natural’ flavouring. She picked out two for me, both smelled lovely. I bought a tin of each. $ 30 later, I’m at home and I check each of the teas on the David’s Tea website. Lo and behold! BOTH teas list stevia and/or flavouring as ingredients. I’m a little(fucking) pissed off. So either the saleswoman didn’t care enough to find out for me(inexcusable) or she knew and just wanted to make some sales. Either way, I’m not too happy about this. Otherwise I enjoy this place, it’s a cute shop but honestly if you don’t know your product enough to accurately represent it to customers I cannot be bothered to give you more than one star. I would NOT want to go here with an allergy — I’d expect the same level of nonchalance, which can be a safety hazard. Not stoked.

This David’s Tea is never crowded and you get the worker’s full attention. Very knowledgable staffs here. Like my other reviews, this David’s Tea is no different than any other David’s Tea I’ve been too — same tea selection. There are a good handful of seats. Great location and conveniently located near Bathurst Station or Spadina Station.

David’s Tea is by far the best place to buy quality loose leaf tea in any city across Canada and now even in the US. They are a huge step ahead of all competition and to be honest with you, I feel like they are so far ahead that they really don’t have any true competition. No matter what your pleasure it can be found sealed away in their beautiful wall of stainless steal containers.

I love tea and had to stop here when I was in Toronto. The girl who was working was very knowledgeable and friendly. Made my family feel very comfortable picking out new teas to try. Then she brewed four different teas for us and made suggestions on how to drink it. We loved it.

Clean and modern concept, affordable yummy teas, friendly staff. My cup of Lapsang Souchon was $ 2.63…cheaper than coffee at most cafes

David and his mystical teas are just fantastic. This location is just as good as my regular tea drinking spot in Bloor West Village. The tea-rista(?) was enthusiastic beyond belief and sold me a beautiful peppermint tea and a delicious toasted walnut green tea that has made me reconsider my dislike of green teas. Oh David, what will you come up with next?

If this had been my first time experiencing David’s Tea, it might have received less stars — this is a small location! There’s about 6 chairs in back for seating but with an incredibly loud ventilation system overhead that made conversation a little less private. The tea itself? Lovely. I really enjoy their organization & aesthetic & that the people behind the counter are always willing to let you have another sniff of yet another canister. I would see this as more of a quick stop to purchase loose-leaf for home than a future meeting spot for tea with friends.

Honestly, as a die-hard coffee junkie, I was not expecting to give a rat’s ass about a new tea shop in the Annex.(Given my usual anti-tea stance, I have never ventured into any other David’s Tea locations) I think today may have been opening day at this location. As I trekked my normal route down Bloor, I was noticing teal blue David’s Tea cups in the hands of many people. Curiosity got the best of me and I diverted from Starbucks into David’s Tea instead. David’s Tea specializes in loose tea blends and they have A LOT of options. I would guess close to 100 different teas. You can buy a cup of tea or buy a quantity of tea blend to take home(you pay buy weight and can buy any quantity you wish) They also have super attentive staff on hand who completely know everything about their products. Lots of great gift ideas here. Might go back to get something for mom. I tried a tea called Chocalate Chili Chai( ). It was absolutely divine, I couldn’t stop smelling it all the way home. They only have seating for 6 people at the back. I would like to see a larger seating area for people who want to linger. David’s Tea might convert me.
