DLK on Avenue

A friend recommended Dr. Kellett to me as my adult acne was getting out of control. DLK on Avenue is a welcoming environment, the staff is friendly and my appointment was on time. After a detailed assessment, Dr. Kellett was thorough in explaining procedures and how to use products. She was easy to talk to and was straight forward with will and would not work for me. She answered all my questions and I didn’t feel rushed or pushed to do the recommended procedures. My acne has significantly improved since my first visit and so has the overall appearance of my complexion. I continue to use the Clear skincare line and now wear less makeup. I’m very happy with my results. I’ll be seeing her again soon to work on the scarring that the acne left behind. She is fantastic — I highly trust and recommend Dr. Kellett.

I have been seeing Dr. Kellet and her amazing team for roughly 10 years now. I’ve received treatment for a variety of different issues ranging from having a suspicious mole removed to acne treatment. Dr. Kellet and her staff are always always always super caring and nurturing and really make you feel comfortable. The general service and environment is lovely, and the treatments are totally top notch. I travel back and forth between Toronto and LA and I’ve never found anywhere in LA that’s as good as DLK on Avenue. I use the CLEAR product line and it’s awesome… PLUS there’s a travel size version which is awesome. Highly, Highly recommend.

I have been going to the clinic for the past 7 years now. Since I suffered from acne in my teens, I went to the clinic for IPL treatments, microdermabrasion and blue light (a fast way to get rid of any flare ups you may be experiencing). My mom also frequents the clinic to get some fillers/​botox done. Why I love the clinic, is that I trust Dr. Kellett and her staff — all the products are top quality and technique (for fillers) is great. I absolutely love Kellett line, I have been using acne set for the last two years now and my skin hasn’t seen major breakouts since then. Boosters are awesome also, expensive but they last for a while and results are great. Great clinic and everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Do keep in mind the prices as another reviewer metioned, it’s not cheap. I try to think of it that quality products/​service cost money. And I wouldn’t want to trust someone «cheap» with my face, it is my business card after all.

I do like coming here and I did buy a 10 pack of the diamond head facial scrub. My first visit here was a gift from my friend Roy and after the first treatment I purchased the package. I would like to go more often but it just isn’t located on my regular daily path, I find it a bit out of the way. I do feel I have to warn you, make sure you know the price on any procedure before you agree to try it or you may be very surprised when you get the bill. I tried something new once on their recommendation and was handed a bill for over $ 800, I felt slightly jilted.

I work outside for a majority of the day and standing under the blazing sun for hours isn’t necessarily ideal for my skin condition. An acquaintance referred me to DLK on Avenue after praising the quality of their services, so I was feeling quite curious when I arrived for my first consultation.
My first impression was a positive one. Right away, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who made pleasant small talk with me while confirming my appointment details. I arrived a few minutes early, so I got a chance to soak in the atmosphere of the bright, spacious lobby. It didn’t take long before I felt completely at ease.
My visit with Dr. Kellett was a long and thorough one. From the way she answered my questions, I can tell that she was a true professional who was very knowledgeable in her area of expertise. We had a detailed discussion about my condition, and she recommended several treatments while explaining the pros and cons of each option. Throughout our meeting, she remained kind, patient, and very sensitive to my feelings.
Since then, I have been visiting DLK on Avenue for over a year and my impression remains largely the same. This is a fantastic place for quality services in skincare treatment and I highly recommend it!

I received a gift certificate for a free microdermabrasion here. I’m 29 years old, but have very smooth, soft, unwrinkled skin. I don’t have acne problems. I thought this would be a fun facial. I left feeling smooth and decent, but two days later, my face broke out in a rash of tiny bumps. My skin is so bumpy and red around my nose that I can barely wear makeup. My chin is also itchy and bumpy. When I called and explained, they told me this was normal. But I insisted and they finally agreed to see me and gave me some samples of acne cream, moisturizer and Vascular repair cream to try to undo the damage — but they keep saying it’s normal. Well, it’s not normal for me! I normally have perfect skin! I’m hoping this gets better within a week but right now I’m really regretting this… I think it normally costs $ 100. I would be very angry if I’d spent that much money to have my skin destroyed.
