As another reviewer mentioned, Charlat is quite expensive. You can get the same or better treatment at any number of dentists in the area. He is also quite pushy about up-selling you — which doesn’t make you feel like he has your dental health at heart. Save your money and avoid this guy.

The hygienist here is excellent. She is so sympathetic and understanding about how uncomfortable cleanings can be and does whatever she can to make it as painless as possible. There is a little massage mat that she’ll put on the chair if you want, so you can be relaxed as possible during the cleaning. Dr. Charlat is very nice. I haven’t had any procedures done here that were more involved than cleanings, so I can’t say much about that. There’ve been some hiccups with staff. I made a cleaning appointment on the phone in mid-August — but when I arrived, nobody except the receptionist was at the office.(I knew the dentist, Dr. Charlat, wouldn’t be in because of vacation, but I was told the hygienist would be in to do cleanings.) Nobody bothered to cancel my appointment. I was able to rebook the appointment, but they should make sure that kind of thing doesn’t happen — it was extremely inconvenient to trek there for nothing. You’ll probably be fine if you book an appointment outside of the vacation period, assuming there’s less opportunity for confusion. I’d been there a couple times — this only happened to me once.
