I don’t have extended health benefits, so when I found out about Eight Branches, I hot tailed my butt there. Eight Branches has a teaching clinic that treats clients. Because it’s a school, there is usually 3 people residing over your treatment(1 primary and 2 secondaries). You’ll be asked a lot of questions about your health and any issues you have. They then leave for about 5 minutes deciding how to treat you. I teach yoga and if you can believe it, I get tight in my upper back(all those downward dogs), so sometimes I’ll get a massage(Tuina, a chinese massage that is done over your clothes and feels amazing; cupping, which is a deep massage but if you love deep tissue massage, it’s AWESOME!!! You will have marks on your backs though — they do fade; sometimes Shiatsu). They also do acupuncture(of course). They will also prescribe herbs if needed. The cost is $ 20 a session(the session is about 1.5 hours), but if you get a living green card, it’s $ 15/session. Go…just go.
