Floris

I’ve been going to Floris for years and absolutely love their shop. Their flowers are always very fresh and seasonal and they make great bouquets for all occasions. My friend used them for a wedding on my recommendation the couple was very happy with the result. Highly recommended.

I went to Floris to buy a bouquet that I used to propose to my then girlfriend. Sarah, at the store, walked me through my options, was so patient and attentive, and came up with such a gorgeous bouquet for me. It all worked out and the night was a huge success. Maybe my now fiancée said «yes» because I’m a desirable guy, but it may have been the flowers — we’ll never know. And the flowers lasted for like two weeks… scored me huge points with my future mother in-​law.

This morning’s experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I went to this shop for the first time this morning. Worse customer service EVER. I arrived to the shop first thing this morning to get some flowers. The person I dealt with, who I believe is the owner, was the rudest person on earth. I expressed interest in some peonies as well as some greenery to make a nice small bouquet of flowers. She said the peonies are $ 15/​flower. That’s right, $ ¹⁵⁄₁ single small flower. When I expressed shock about the price, she explained it’s because the flower is from Holland, and she spoke to me in such a way as if I was dumb. Very disrespectful. She asked me for my budget and I said $ 25-​$ 30. I was looking for a very small bouquet and thought that price range was reasonable. She looked at me as if in disgust, pulled a few flowers and said this is already $ 14 right here, and said «maybe you should go to the supermarket». I looked at her in shock. Did this lady just tell me to go to the supermarket when I am her first customer this morning and expressing interest in a small bouquet??? Are you kidding me?
It made my blood boil. I couldn’t believe it. So very rude and disrespectful.
I said, «You want me to go to a supermarket?», she said yes. So I said «Alright». Turned around and left her store.
I will never EVER buy anything from this place. Instead of trying to work with me and make me happy with whatever I can afford, she practically dismissed me and then told me to go to a supermarket!
I came to the florist for a reason! I wanted flowers from there!
I will advise everyone I know not to go to this place.
I’m surprised this shop is in business.

My sister ordered a $ 100 dollar arrangement for her bridal shower a week in advance. When we went to pick up the arrangement, they did not have it prepared — the florist who had taken the order put the incorrect date on their form for pick up. The two women working at the store took no accountability for the mistake. They offered to throw something together in «two minutes». They made it clear our business was not important to them. We have been loyal customers in the past and but as for the future — we won’t be going back.

I’ve been purchasing flowers for the home or as gifts for many years but for the past few times I have been visiting Floris because of the wonderful online and personal reviews I was given.
First off, the store is beautiful! Very inviting and great big fridge with an amazing selection of exotic, as well as, your standard flowers. But one thing you notice right off the bat is the quality (if you know your flowers as well as I do). Secondly, although its a boutique flower shop, their prices are very reasonable than rip offs like Pusateri’s where they give you over priced products AND an attitude. At Floris its a mother-​daughter team (I think) and they are so knowledgeable, courteous, attentive that it’s easy to forge a relationship by the time you leave. Thirdly, their work is stunning! They don’t believe in cheap and lower quality flowers and everything they make is so well thought out. The main reason for this is that they listen to your needs. But to be honest, I don’t go in there demanding anything because they’re the experts. Just tell them the occasion and budget and leave it to them. You wont be disappointed.
