Found the customer service to be excellent, the employees were always helpful and always took me to the items I could not find. There produce and meat is definitely worth the price because I find they do not spoil quickly. I also find that there hot tables and there pizza place to have a wonderful staff who is very understanding just like the front cashiers.

Pricey. But probably the most decent grocery in the area. Staff are not particularly customer-focused, alot of students who are quite self-absorbed, so be ready to be shrugged off or ignored at times. Prices are a good $ 1-$ 2 per item higher than local FreshCo or No Frills. We really only go to Fortinos for specific items we can’t get elsewhere due to selection. They have a Garden Centre during the summer months, and a «refuel» gas bar outside that tends to be consistently 1 cent/liter cheaper than the nearby Esso. Hot Food and Sandwich Bar sections are overpriced in my opinion… You’ll get a better and bigger sandwich for cheaper at Subway next door!

Pretty standard grocery shopping experience. It found it very interesting to see how spacious the store seemed and noticed the complete lack of shippers/weekenders and other displays you usually see in a grocery store.

This location is my go-to grocery store if I need to pick up a lunch or missed grocery items on my way home. It is a descent size grocery store with a big prepared foods, produce and bakery sections. The prepared foods section is broken down into three areas, rotisserie grill, sushi and pizza/panini areas. Service is average, food is fresh and have not had any issues during my visits. The only downside is that the location is currently going through renovations so certain aisles have been moved which makes the shopping experience a bit confusing. If you are close to the Woodbine/Rexdale area, shop by this Fortinos for your grocery fix.

Attention please… Dr. Kevorkian, paging Dr. Kevorkian… «The Grocery Store with a Heart» has decided to forego good customer service for awkward customer interactions… 4:42– I slip out of my Ethics class because a) the teacher makes me want to stab myself in the eye with a fork and b) mah tummy is rumbling! 4:49– Hop into the car and drive 900 meters to Fortinos(don’t you dare judge me) 4:51– Enter the store and head straight to the Panini & Pizza counter 4:52– Attempt to order my Panini only to be rudely interrupted by another Fortinos employee on her break who is chatting with the girl taking my order. Girl taking my order–«And I was like Anthony what were you thinking… and he was like damn girl you so fiiiiine…» Me… in my head– OMG shut up and complete me order! 5:01– I get my Panini and take a bite… it’s cold… FML! 5:02– Ask to have my Panini reheated 5:03– Open my laptop and begin working 5:07– Get my Panini back. It tastes alright I guess but I think the bread may have cut the roof of my mouth! 5:15– The girl at the counter is inexplicably calling me over… she wants to use my laptop for a second to show her friend a picture on Facebook. Are you kidding me?! You want a customer to bring their laptop to the counter so you can surf online, while you are working? I can’t believe the nerve of this place! Next time I am going to stick with Subway.
