Yeah, definitely smells like vomit. I think it’s the Parmesan. They have games and beer though. But WiFi wasn’t fast enough for Danny Dyer’s Deadliest men.

A bar with old school arcade games and a North of Brooklyn pizza shop in the back. There is not much more you can ask for. The drink menu is good and the pizza is great. You can stay here for hours just drinking, mingling and playing games like Frogger. Don’t even have to leave if you get hungry. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way each time I go is the smell of the bar. Upon entering, it may smell like vomit, but I believe it is just the cheese cooking in the pizza shop where there is a lack of ventilation.

This place is always full of underage hipster kids and the AC is never on, shoulder to shoulder hot box with your feet always sticking to the floor like a movie theatre. Friendly bartenders but the atmosphere sucks

Bartender was kind of stand-off-ish but who cares when you have free arcade games, dope wooden tables and décor and North of Brooklyn Pizzeria. Great place to drink with friends. Kind of dark and dingy, but not enough to make you feel uncomfortable. Front area has tables and a huge floor(for dancing or hanging) and the back has all the arcade games and a nice big wooden table with a couch. Pretty standard prices for Toronto drinking. Decent selection of beer.

I came here for the pizza. North of Brooklyn Pizzeria holds a special place in my heart having visited their standalone location tucked away on Palmerston. Order a whole pie with friends and it can be made fresh within 15. Saucy and pipin’ hot! I’m a fan of Get Well’s concept — reminds me of what you’d see in the movies! Most of the seats were taken on a Thursday night around 10ish. I can definitely imagine this to be a packed place on a weekend. Can’t wait to be back.

What a fun bar! Great selection of craft beers, FREE arcade games, ANDPIZZA??? Seriously, couldn’t ask for more for a night out with friends! We were there pretty early and still had to wait to get a table, and by the time we left it was packed, so come early to avoid having to wait to get in. One comment that was made by a friend was that she couldn’t hear any music — I ‘think’ it was there, but quiet enough so you could have a conversation without shouting, which I’m totally okay with! So if your reason for getting out is to shake your booty, you might want to try somewhere else.

Not a bad experience overall, craft beers, vintage arcade games with free credits and just a general crummy dive bar look and feel — it’s perfect. Located just half a block away from Dundas and Ossington it’s a convenient spot just near the hipster-strip. Definitely a spot to mix and mingle, but be advised that it’s loud so it makes conversations a tad rough but for a night out of boozing and video games with pals it’s perfect. The average age here is noticeably early to mid 20’s with a smattering of older here and there, so if you’re annoyed by «youngins» then maybe avoid this place. If you’re just looking for a good time and the crowd around you doesn’t bother you than please proceed. My only critiques would be around their drinks and the access to the games. It’s super crowded event earlier in the evening and much like Arcades of long ago the line ups to access a game are crazy long as crowds just pack in around and it’s hard to penetrate once the crowd is established. As for the drinks, I wasn’t in the mood for beer so I asked for a cocktail(Old Fashioned or Manhattan) and I was abruptly told«Ha, yeah, we don’t do that». So I just went for mixed drinks all night. That said, my pals were all over the craft and euro craft beer selections and it seemed pretty impressive. The secret X-factor of this place is the tiny Brooklyn Style Pizza pop-up style shop in the back. What a great idea! Lure your customers in with video games, get them tipsy on delicious craft beer, THEN keep them sober enough or provide easy access to munchies with huge slices of pizza. Genius! Despite my tiny critiques, the experience was great, I’d definitely come back!

I came to Toronto when I just turned 18 so I had to go to a bar. This was the ideal place for me. Great music, a bunch of classic arcade games and a pizza parlor in the back. The drinks weren’t too expensive and the people there were very nice ! I was absorbed into playing the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle arcade game and having that pizza and drink near you was just awesome !

This is a really cute bar with a wide selection of different beers. What makes it unique is that it has arcade games! I didn’t realize that the games were free until after we left unfortunately. At the back, there is a pizzeria that seems to be totally underrated. They gladly let me order a pizza with no cheese on half of the pizza(cheese doesn’t sit well with me these days), and it was still delicious! The crust was amazing, and I would say that it rivals that of one of the better pizzerias in the city, Queen Margarita. It’s a dark hipster-type bar, not your usual Irish pub. There aren’t too many seats, it’s more of a chill and stand kind of place. Great for walking around and conversing with people.

How have I not reviewed Get Well! I have been coming here for quite a while now and always have a good time. There are tons of beers on tap and a lot more in bottles. Get Well recently opened a North of Brooklyn Pizzeria in the back, so you can now enjoy a slice or share a pie between friends while you enjoy your beer. If you are a fan of ‘80s arcade games you will love Get Well as there are tons of arcade machines, most available free of charge. Note that on weekends there can be a lineup so try to get there early. It gets packed!

My first time going to a hipster bar, not bad. The atmosphere was very live and sociable! People are nice and friendly; easy place to meet people. One of its main attractions are the FREE old school arcade games(ex. Pac-Man, Super Mario World, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc). It’s a great place to go with a group of friends and play some old school arcade games. In addition to the arcade games, they also have an open bar. Their beer menu is pretty unique, a lot of lagers I’ve never heard of. I’m currently enjoying dark beers nowadays so I decided to order the WELLINGTONCOUNTYDARKALE(5%). I enjoyed this lager very much! Not too bitter and you don’t really get bloated. Although I like the beer and games, I find the price of the beers to be a bit pricey. I understand they are import brands but $ 7 for 16 ounces is a bit much. Anyways, that was my only complaint about the bar but I’ll definitely come back. It’s a great place to chill with your friends, drink beer, and play some retro arcade games.

A great bar that’s fun and lively, and also has amazing pizza! Though tonight’s mushroom pizza was sadly burnt and bitter. This is only overlooked today since every single time before its been amazing. Also because its a separate business that’s deserves a separate rating. Just saying… Keep doing what you’re doing Get Well! Also for what ever reason us Unilocalers love to gripe on the crowd. I don’t think that any establishments warrants a score on the people that frequent it. If y’all feel uncomfortable or out of place, the establishment cant control your feeling towards other strangers. Sorry, but your feelings about a crowd of unknowns is not the making of people who are simply doing their job and making money to pay their bill. Pathetic. Also you’re an adult. Ask for the next turn on the game as I do. LOL its like complaining about a toy some other kid is hogging on the playground.

I’m visiting Toronto and when I do so, I generally spend at least one evening out with my sister. She knows I like good beer, so tonight, she suggested Get Well. I had a quick glance at the beer menu online and I was happy to visit. Tonight, we arrived at 12:30, but it was Friday night, so it was still busy. There was even a line, albeit a short one. The doorman was in his 40’s and probably the only person we saw above 30 the whole night. This place was filled with young hipsters. I scoped out the tap menu and it was filled with craft beer and some stuff I hadn’t seen elsewhere. In fact, there’s a throwback to my favorite band, The Specials with a root beer called«A message to you rooty». I just had to get that… it was crap, but it wasn’t Get Well’s fault. So to follow it up, I perused the beer fridge. There’s a lot of great beer in there. A lot of it you can’t get at the LCBO. I chose a Belgian sour, and it was great. This place has good beer. Unfortunately, that’s where we stopped because I don’t get to see my sister that often and we wanted to talk. We couldn’t. The music is blasted out of speakers that are placed every 2 – 3 meters. This forces everyone that wants to talk to scream to the people near them. Thus the crowd actually drowned out the music. After 45 minutes of screaming at each other, we decided to leave. The sound in this place has got to have been over 90 db. Absolutely crazy. I haven’t tried myself, but my sister says that the pizza on site is divine. She’s a foodie too, so I trust her judgement on that one.

Get Well is great for a pint with friends and if you get hungry they’ve even got freshly made North of Brooklyn Pizza! Everytime I’ve been it hasn’t been that busy and we’ve been able to play some(free!) video games. On a sunny day I definitely understand why there may not be many people in there as it is quite dimly lit, but I think that’s part of their hipster, dive-bar vibe.

Here’s the low down on Get Well: Cheap beer, tons of throwback video games and plenty of space to hang out and drink the wide variety of draft carried here. It’s a good place to get messy on a Friday. The atmosphere is decidedly casual, so Bay St Bulldogs looking for a game of who’s suit cost more will probably want to stick to Earls and the downtown core. I have no idea about the food as I didn’t eat there, but everyone seemed to be having a good time and the place is always packed. No surprise either given the neighborhood, but it’s a hipster haven. Still, there’s a decent mix of people in the crowd and everyone is welcome. Park your fixies and single speeds out front, and come on in for a cold beer!

They have a Ninja Turtles Arcade at this establishment. First of all, the Donatello does NOT work and he’s the best. Which sucks but it’s not the worst cause Leonardo’s swords are pretty long(and he’s the leader) Raphael is the worst. Anyway, the Foot Clan are pretty easy to kill but some of the pesky robots in the later levels can be a bit of a pain. BeeBop and Rocksteady are troublesome as per usual. Couldn’t get to Shredder or Krang :(really wanted to see the Technodrome. I suggest playing with a friend to help out and stay motivated. They also have Ms. Pacman(Pacwoman should be), great beer selection and a «trendy» vibe. I tried Donatello at the end of the night so he might work I was pretty tipsy. Lol.

Hands down one of my favourite bars in Toronto. What more can you want? Great beer selection, FREE arcade games and oh whats this –now they serve North Of Brooklyn Pizza too? Best news ever. This place has a great atmosphere just like the other bars in the Dundas-Ossington area. Laid back but still bumpin’ enough for you to have a great night out. And because it is SO close to other great bars, this place would be perfect to start off or finish a bar hop night with. I have had a lot of great memories here — like trying to beat frogger but never succeeding(i swear it’s impossible.) Also just a tip — Sometimes there is a line but don’t let that discourage you, for the most part it moves pretty quick. All in all this is a solid bar and you should totally check it out if you haven’t!

I took my boyfriend to Get Well on Christmas Eve. Get Well is a bar on Dundas with free arcade games in the back. I cannot remember if the bathrooms are accessible nor did I look at the menu. I think the kitchen was closed. The bar was cool, but most of the games were broken. Some of them flat out didn’t work, while others had buttons that didn’t respond. Neither pinball machine was working. If I were drunk, I may have enjoyed the games more, but I found the brokenness a little frustrating and disappointing. I’m also not a beer drinker, and their bar was missing some fun and flavourful liqueurs like anything mint flavoured, Irish cream and other non-bar rail drinks. It would be really fun if this place had a mixed drink list.

The Get Well bar is a hipster dive bar with cool drinks and retro arcade games in the back. Perfect when you need a drink after a long week and need to decompress by playing a bit of tetris, frogger, or pinball ‘old school style(not played on your smartphone). By 8, the place was pretty busy. Almost all the tables were taken and so you’d be standing or hanging around at the back where the games are. There’s a huge table there for your coats or drinks so feel free to drink and play. The bar is decorated with a golden phoenix and dragon(the ones you see at Chinese dim sum restaurants). FYI: the bird and dragon symbolizes marriage. Hmm, maybe you’ll find the love of your life here! This place would be perfect for very large groups, say up to 30 – 40 group of friends, maybe even more. There’s no table service so you’ll have to order your drinks at the bar. Pro tip: North of Brooklyn Pizzeria inside. Pizza can be hit or miss. It’s awesome when fresh!

Get Well is a pretty funny name for this place, as it should probably be called«Get Wasted», but it’s pretty trendy, so I’m sure they get the irony. Ugh, as you can tell by my intro, I’m not so trendy. But like… maybe that makes me cool in today’s climate? OK. Let’s get this existential crisis off of Unilocal.Moving on. Big bar. Free arcade games, prolific beer list, lots of wooden tables at the front and a flea-ridden couch at the back. Let’s circle back to the beginning of this list… free arcade games. Free! This goes really well with drinking. It just does. *Slow clap.*

Bar sympa dans le quartier d’Ossington et Dundas. L’originalité ici sont les bornes d’arcade au fond du bar. Service un peu long au bar. Nice bar in the Ossington dundas area. the good thing here are the arcade games. Staff was kida overwhelmed with only one bartender.
