Godiva Chocolatier

Picked up some truffles to add to a birthday present for a chocoholic friend. I like this location as it’s in Yorkdale; there’s free parking and you can check out other shops after or before going to Godiva. The price point is on the higher side, but then again, you get good quality chocolate. They have a stand where chocolate covered fruit is made; right by the window, it’s weirdly relaxing to just watch the Godiva staff prepare these treats. There are also prepackaged chocolates that you can pick up if you’re not too picky. While my truffles were being packed in a box, I noticed the sign for soft serve ice cream. It was a good idea at the time so I ordered the white chocolate soft serve in a waffle cone. The portion was generous, but it was a little too rich for my liking (and I LOVE sweets) so I ended up not finishing it and throwing it out.

Mmmmmm, Chocolate what more is there to say?
The chocolate covered strawberries are delicious and a nice little treat to eat while you shop around in the area of Yorkdale. Kinda expensive though for just a couple strawberries but well worth a treat once in a while.
The staff was very helping showing us the different chocolates and truffles. He seemed to love his job, I wonder if he is tempted to eat a chocolate or two standing around them all day…
