I came here with a botched haircut from a downtown salon last night. And Betty was so kind to accommodate my request to fix it. She used a few tools to get it done and I’m definitely switching into this salon. She obviously loves her job and I got the cut that I originally wanted. She was urging me to tell her honestly if she did my request right. I felt I was taken cared of. I will definitely come back.

First month in Toronto the hair is getting rather messy and uncontrollable so I decide to go get some food and my hair cut in the process. Now I am not a complete sissy when I get my hair cut but there is a big difference between getting it cut at a barber(uses clippers) and getting it cut at a hairdresser(uses scissors) so this place caught my attention when going past. Its not one of these modern fancy salons which would charge $ 50 to get your nose hairs plucked but a down to earth, homely salon. The lady Betty was absolutely lovely to chat to, she asked me how I wanted my hair cut and after being seated she continue to work her magic all the while keeping conversation interesting. She has had the place for 10 years so all her love and passion has gone into the salon along with the way she cuts hair which is with careful precision and care. One thing I always say to any hairdresser is «i want my hair cut but I dont want it to look like its just been cut» and she managed to do this with scissors and only small use of the clippers(sides) . Considering that I have 2 salons in yorkdale mall to choose from and another within a minutes walk I would still travel the extra miles to go back to Hair 2 Desire. My hair cut cost £14 which was very reasonable considering the more flash places try and charge $ 30 – 40 for the same haircut. Would definitely recommend this place and thanks to Betty for my first haircut in Canada
