Hair By Flora

Flora is nice. Her salon is small, in a residential building — nothing wrong with that. However, she charges $ 50+ for medium length haircut, when other higher end salons in a better location with nicer products charge the exact same for a junior stylist haircut.
About the cut itself… it was meh. Boring. I came in with high expectations as I was referred to her by someone who had been there previously and loved it. She spent 10 min cutting my hair. I told her I wanted more movement, more layers… I still don’t have them.
I don’t know, I just didn’t like it. I won’t be returning.

DO NOT go to this salon especially if you are using a GROUPON. Flora’s attitude toward groupon customers has definitely changed and I would STRONGLY advise spending your hard earned $$$ elsewhere. First of all, when you call to book an appt she tells you she’ll offer you the same price as groupon so no need to buy the groupon (…don’t listen because you’ll have no recourse once she takes your money), then she overbooks appts and doesn’t apologize when she’s wasted your time because her long-​time clients are more important, and to add insult to injury, she’ll say she can’t accept your groupon and swipe your card without telling you that she’s charging you full price instead of just tax (meaning you’ll have paid for 2 haircuts!!).
She may cut hair well, but I left with such a bad impression and lost all respect for such a dishonest business. I think groupon customers deserve way better than this.

Flora did a great job and was friendly, happy and extremely personable. She spent 2 hours on my hair, doing highlights, cut and deep condition and even sat down with me to chat when we were waiting for my highlights.
If you’re looking for a great haircut and want to avoid a fancy, rushy hair salon then I would highly recommend Flora’s!
