This store has been extremely helpful to me a couple of times in finding the right contacts. I have not been to the optometrist but the woman at the counter has gone beyond in staying open for me to pick up, in discussing my issues, and in helping me find a good pair. I highly recommend. They also have a nice selection of frames.

Since giving up on Lenscrafters at the Eaton’s Center, I have been patronizing this Hakim location for the last five years with invariably good results. The last time I went to their optometrist for a yet stronger prescription he told me I needed cararact surgery and referred me to Dr Herzig on Bloor St who did a splendid job. Back to Hakim: I have always had a positive experience in getting approximately eight pairs of glasses from them over the five years.

After almost two months of going back again and again to get the prescription right. Bringing contact lenses back plus the glasses I paid hundreds of dollars for I finally gave up. A refund was out of the questions and I had to pay up front. The optometrist at this location kept on making mistakes. The first time he tested my eyes I was wearing my previous contact lenses and he didn’t even notice until I mentioned it to him. Off my lenses went and we started all over again. I have not been able to see properly ever since. Do not have the money to start all over again with a different company but trust me I will never go back to Hakim again. BTW on the many trips back to this store there were other customers complaining as well. It was hard to believe at first till it happened to me. They will not take responsibility for any of this and had the nerve to blame my eyes for all the problems. So, now I wear my old glasses with the old prescription and see perfectly. This place is terrible. if you care about your eyes stay away.
