Location: On Roncesvalles. We drove over so I have no tips on how to get here by public transit. Street parking is available and metered. The place: It’s an average-looking bakery, kinda homey. It’s of a decent size and there are a few tables scattered throughout the place. The goods: I grabbed a latte and a brownie. The clerk happily used almond milk instead of regular milk, which was nice. The latte was OK but I’ve probably had better elsewhere. The brownie was quite good. Service: Great — the staff was super friendly. Price point: Average.

Af never been to the bakery before but Ordered a birthday cake for my Bfs bday. It came out very well. I got to tell the server/Baker what flavor and design I wanted on the cake and the service was great too. The most important thing that all should know is that the huge cake was only 30 bucks with tax. I would say that a very good price plus u get to choose the flavor, design and patterns. Definitely check it out.

Who doesn’t like a bakery? The new Hot Oven offers all sorts of tasty loaves, bagels and sweets as well as pretty good coffee. The pricing of their goods is similar to Mabel’s & other ‘artisan’ bakeries(~$ 5 per loaf, $.75-$ 2.50 for bagels, croissants and the like). I’m sure if rental prices weren’t as high they could sell for less, but so goes business on Roncy. The indoor seating is a little lacking, I would like to see a couple small tables & chairs to compliment the bar stools that line the front of the store. The staff is friendly and helpful, the interior clean tastefully decorated, and the smell of baked bread is, well, the best.
