The place looked grand from the outside. It looked like a regular place in the inside. After paying the $ 5 each cover charge and walking into such a grand place — the girls where a let down. The only girl that remotely turned us on was the girl serving the shots. I am referring only to one server girl and not the remaining 3 we saw roaming. Waste of money! Stick to brass rail or for your eyes only. Oh its gets worse — after the cover charge there is still a $ 20 charge for the first dance and all subsequent are included(ie. don’t expect a dance at your table because its not going to happen). My friend tried that numerous times. I was watching UFC the whole time as a result!!!

Been here a few times: got offered a blow job from a stripper, saw a guy jerking off in the corner and got 3 dances for the price of 1 by a mother(C-section scar…).

There are two ways out of Landsdowne station, take the elevator and ignore the peculiar smell of Bloor and Landsdowne when it hits you. Turn left then right on Bloor heading east, it’ll take five minutes and you’ll see The House of Lancaster II, 1 block east on Bloor, south side. The recent renovation is slick; chromed double doors lead into a narrow foyer with three plasma screens on the west wall. A man in a small booth asks me for a $ 2 entry fee(presumably to pay for the reno) and I am lightly frisked; a metal detector is passed over me. Entering this club is a cold sterile experience and the place has the distinct feel of wannabe gangsterism, it is an astonishing 10.66m granite bar with two poles built in, I am told by the bartender that when it gets really busy there are girls dancing on it and on three or four other poles set up around the club. It is a place built for high rollers, evidenced by the fabulous wine list, the $ 260 bottle service and the well stocked liquor cabinet. There is one shot for $ 200 here.(I wonder if that bottle will ever be opened.) Full review available at

How can you not like this place? Well, if you don’t like strip clubs, you probably won’t; but if you’re sympathetic, it has its low-class charm. House of Lancaster is classic seediness in a still-seedy neighbourhood(Bloor and Lansdowne). The late owner, Terry Koumoudouros, was heavily involved in local matters, and even discovered(uncovered?) a loophole to get out of a silly Supreme Court no-nudity-for-nude-dancing ruling. Kudos! Got nothing to do on Christmas Day? House of Lancaster is still open then, and the strippers all wear Santa Claus hats(nor much else, obviously). If you family and friends are elsewhere or busy(or would rather come with you for an anti-Xmas), it can be pretty fun.
