Bought a bike from Jamis(Ladies Citizen 3) about four years ago at a great savings. The show room is super-cool with space to take your bike for a spin. Service was great in every respect. Wide selection of great quality bikes. Mine is a hybrid with a big comfy seat and has been holding up well over time. If biking is an important part of your life, definitely check them out.

I have to admit, I’m a bit new to the bike scene and was recommended by a friend to check out RB Inc since they have the best quality bikes in the city. The shop was really neat and tidy and all bikes were presented nicely. With the help of knowledgeable staff and the owner-Richard, I was able lock in my decision and ended up purchasing the 2015 Xenith Comp Road bike. Although it was pricey it has been worth the ride! Thanks RB Inc.

This is a follow up review. My first review of Jamis Bicycle(RB Inc — the distributor for Jamis Bicycle) landed them with one star. You can read the previous to see why. Here is the kicker! I’ve since gone back to RB Inc to see what they had in bicycles and what they had to offer in the crowded market place. The location is in a little industrial zone and I arrived in the morning where other velo-shoppers were waiting at the front door. Don’t go by the front door — go around the side where the parking lot is and you’ll see the open bay door.(Door #2 ??) Inside you will find bicycles displayed, and a tidy shop in front of the open bay door. The sales /technical staff(same guys) are true professionals. They know bikes and certainly seem like they are enthusiasts, knowledgeable, and are passionate about bikes and the bike community. You can get every type of Jamis product here from a comfy cruiser, mountain bike, to roadsters of very good quality. I’d not heard of the Jamis brand before purchasing one, but they seem to have a good name in the upper echelons of the bike world. Before you go to the warehouse check out their online excel spreadsheet to see if they have something in house you may like to buy before making a trip down. Unlike a Canadian Tire(ick) or pro cycle shop where all you can do is look at the bike and imagine how it rides, you are most welcome to bring it out to the parking lot for a short spin. This allowed me to know first hand how the fit, handling, and overall performance of the bike was. I wound up buying a great mountain bike and my buddy bought one too. A lady who came in with me bought a comfy suburban cruising bike, and another a high end road racer. All these transactions were within the first 45 minutes of the warehouse opening. I can certainly see why as the staff(Sean) was a technical professional and from a sales side was not pushy, nor condescending, but very helpful, and informative. Since then I’ve been wanting to update my review to give these guys a fair review but have been too busy(partially with bike trips — guilty as charged). Then I received an email from Richard of RB Inc on Unilocal, he owns the company. He let me know that the initial issues were dealt with by changing the way they answer calls from non-customer facing staff and working toward improvements based upon the review. Kudos to RB Inc. for the nice response. These are the types of companies I want to do business with. It’s not about reprimanding, it’s about teaching and improving staff and processes to give the best customer service at all times no matter one’s official duties. In the end, the quality of product, RB Inc’s internal business practices, and the buying experience was top-notch and this is why RB Inc(Jamis Bicycle) is jumping from an initial one star rating to a five star rating. NOTE: I won’t rank pricing as the range goes from a couple of hundred to thousands of dollars. END

I contacted Jamis in regards to having new components put on my mountain bike. My email was met with an immediate and friendly reply. The work was done in a timely manner and the price was excellent. I would recommend Jamis to anyone looking for service or a new bike. The show room is amazing.

The other review makes no sense. It’s an obscure location as it’s a warehouse outlet but immediately I sensed Richard Browne, a former triathlete, knew his stuff. From the immense selection, good prices, tune up artist on the premises, to a general good, we are in this together feeling, I’d recommend Jamis highly. Especially after my first ride. An outstanding product, good fit and finish, very precise. Definitely a place to visit, one of Toronto’s hidden gems.

we went there 2 weeks ago, as 3 of my friends and I wanted to buy the same sort of bike. The owner was so disinterested its almost like he doesnt want your business. at one point i feel like«why do i feel like he is acting like he is forced to give us free bikes», im sure his business is pretty good(looking at the lamborghini outside) but we feel pretty bad even going to that place. although Jamis has great bikes, i end up buying it from kijiji, i just did not want to give him my business with that attitute. its not like we are lowballing as our conversation ended when we asked for hybrids he shows us a model which is 5 yrs old. its like he wants us out. i am not debating their knowledge or expertise, its just the way we got treated was not acceptable. this is coming from someone who works at financial services business. huge let down for me. edit: just want to say i stil end up buying Jamis, eventhough it was second hand from Kijiji, i like their bikes a lot, i got the allegro hybrid, it was best bang for the buck, owner Richard actually contacted me through here, he cares about the business, i will still try them again in the spring.
