We went there and the cashier offered the gentleman ahead of us free taziki and excellent service, once it was our turn to be served she did not smile or seemed like she wanted to assist us at all. We asked about free taziki as well and at first she didn’t want to give it to us, why? Is it because we aren’t cacasian? That we don’t look like your usual clientele? Smh. The souvlaki wasn’t seasoned well was bland and for the price you’d probably save money just making it yourself with fresh meat.

I visit JW Foods at least once a month to stock up on chicken thighs, chicken breasts and frozen mushrooms. You really can’t find better value for the quality elsewhere. JW Foods can be considered a shopping haven for body builders and fitness enthusiasts — the whole store is catered towards the lifestyle. They carry a whole range of meat products(frozen or fresh) packaged in bags/boxes and you can order by the pound or by box. The frozen broccoli is slightly more pricey than Costco, but the frozen mushrooms are a good deal at $ 4.00 a pack. You can also find Quest bars, peanut/almond butter, agave syrup, stevia, Mrs. Dash seasoning… etc. They used to carry egg whites(the one with the muscular chicken on the carton), but sadly, they switched to the smaller and pricier ones currently sold at Costco. The flexing chicken brand needs to come back. They’re only open till 3PM on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Cash, debit and VISA are all accepted!

Bought a voucher from wagjag to try them out. It was in a box of 50 souvlaki, individually wrapped, 5 souvlakis per pack; picked them up from Michael-Angelos Market Place, and bought a small tub of tsaziki sauce there as well to go with it. We brought about 20~25 of the souvlakis camping, it received rave reviews from everyone, was convenient and it tasted great! Very nice souvlaki! Will definitely buy again when they are permanently available at more convenient locations.(I don’t go to Scarborough often)
