I went in on my birthday trying to pick out a present for myself. Since they had some sale purses I like online I decided to check it out. I normally try not to shop at yorkville even if I work there because workers have a reputation of being bitchy and they look down on you if you don’t walk in wearing high end clothing or carrying a branded purse. Considering I was motivated to purchase something I didn’t let this phase me. But 10 – 20 minutes in their second floor section looking at purses and nobody once said hi or asked if I needed help. I just aimleslessly walked around hoping they would notice but to no avail nothing. So I walked out quite sad as I felt I was not welcome in the store. I just up and left and decided not to buy there and just go to the eaton centre location. The Sales associate are definitely not friendly and you always feel you are being eyed down and watched but they will not help you unless they think your worth their time. Thanks for ruining my birthday that day. Will not recomended your store to anybody.

I LOVE Kate Spade and am lucky enough to own a couple of their fun pieces. Was here last night for a shopping event with my friend. The ladies here are actually super lovely and helpful. Sweet little store in Yorkville, great for cheeky accessories and gorgeous dresses. They currently have a purse that looks like a champagne bucket, which you can actually put a bottle in! Perfect for keeping it classy ;)

I have shopped at Kate Spade both here and in New York and I was so impressed by the customer service at Kate Spade in Yorkville. The store is really cute and very well laid out and the staff are amazing. I agree with one of the posters below that some of them are a little over the top but they really cater to you, offering you a drink and helping you find things quickly and efficiently. Moreover, a few days after shopping there I received a HANDWRITTEN notice in the mail from the salesgirl. I could not be more impressed. It was simple and sweet but really left an impression on me. I will definitely go back there. In a world where the competition is stiff, simple gestures like this make all the difference. Great job Kate Spade Yorkville!

I’m a die-hard Kate Spade fanatic. So happy that there’s one a stone’s throw from my house. And so upset that I will soon be kissing goodbye to all my money. The store is small, simple, clean, and chique. As soon as you walk in, the sales ladies greet your cheerily. No pressure to buy. I have to agree with Denise that all the girls were a little TOO excited — seemed a tad fake. But better fake than aloof. After I chose some gloves, the girl mentioned that there was a sale on bags upstairs. So obviously I had to get one. Seriously recommend heading here during Post-Xmas sales. The store wasn’t busy at all and I got some great deals. Gloves originally $ 140 for $ 98, and bag originally for $ 300 for $ 270.

I was really happy when Kate Spade opened in Toronto. The shop is colourful and fun, with cute details everywhere from the carpets to the change rooms. They do not have the best selection(I found some styles of bags or colours at Holt’s that they didn’t have) but they have Kate Spade clothing, shoes, and accessories that are harder to find elsewhere. Join the email list if you want to find out about sales. I find a couple of the sales girls here a bit over the top — not pushy but too much squealing«ohhhmigosh! That is sooooo cute!» with every time I picked up an item. When I told one of them I was looking for a bag in a colour that I saw at Holt’s — «Oooooh! We don’t carry that colour but it sounds sooooo nice! Suuuuper-cute!!!» I like friendly staff, but this was just too much…

I absolutely LOVE Kate Spade BUT funny story… I entered the store(YD Mall). The FIRST person I saw was a sales representative who ended up being the girl who horribly bullied me in high school. Walked right out.

I had a really great experience at this location! As a woman in her 20’s when I walk into designer stores, I almost always get the stiff shoulder because I’m assuming they think I can’t afford their goods. However, when I walked into Kate Spade, I felt completely comfortable. Every sales associate I came in contact with were very helpful and genuine. I bought a pair of earrings and although, the gentleman working did ask me if i wanted a necklace to match, I at no point felt pressured to purchase another item. The lady who rang me up, Michelle, was her name I believe, was extremely nice and very sincere. I would definitely come back to this location over going to say, Holt Renfrew, where I don’t even get a simple hello, based on customer service alone.

Wowwww. Smart move on the staff’s part at the Kate Spade store in Yorkville. I was all prepared to buy a simple pearl necklace(which I assumed was real) but the sales girl laughed at me for thinking it would be real, insisted it was fake and said all of their items are just«costume jewelry». I just checked the exact same necklace out on the website and the pearls are indeed — real. Either the sales girls are NOT on commission or they’re too affluent to give a crap. P. S. I love Kate Spade and give the brand itself a 5. Every bag is different — a work of art, yet still in the«affordable luxury» price range. If you’re about to waste your money on a tacky Michael Kors or Marc by Marc Jacobs bag, spend your money on a Kate Spade bag instead. You’ll at least look like an individual. The stock carried in the stores is very limited compared to what they offer. Also check out Holt Renfrew, The Kate Spade website and for other styles not offered in the actual store location.
