In desperate need of getting rid of some clothes(and after many attempts to sell/trade online), I decided to haul a bag of gently used clothes to Kind Exchange after thorough research. Ideally, I would’ve hauled it to Common Sort(25% cash back and 50% store credit) but considering the distance and the lack of Metropass, I was unable to go to either stores. Kind Exchange was the next best thing considering proximity from where I was. I dropped off my bag sometime at noon and received a call from them about two hours before the store closed. I was happy to find out that they decided to buy 5 items from me. Instead of getting cash back, I decided to do store credit instead. I might as well, considering it would be more value than the cash, which was going to be spent on buying clothes anyway. I ended up with a cute sweater and a black liquid skater skirt I have been looking for ages. They are extremely picky with their clothes so be ready to haul back everything in case they say no unless you are willing to just donate them. You won’t get back on much at all. The value that they were going to sell all my items were for $ 100 and I got $ 30 store credit(20% cash back and 30% store credit). So be sure that you really don’t care about the clothes you are going to bring because if you think you are getting back at least half of your investment, you are mistaken. I personally liked my experience here because the employee who was helping me was very nice and outgoing. Apparently she works at their Roncesvalles store, so I hope the regular employees are just as nice.

By far the rudest staff I’ve ever experienced. I came in with three items I was hoping to sell, and I asked how long the wait was to sell clothing. The woman at the cash, barely looking at me, said, «A couple hours.» She then proceeded to start typing on her computer. I figured she was checking on that for me so I stood there for a good two minutes, waiting. Then she just started casually chatting to her co-worker. She was completely ignoring me. She didn’t ask, «Would you like to leave your things and get onto the list?» or even tell me «Sorry,» or anything of the sort. She just full-on ignored me. I will never shop here.

When I came here to donate some dresses the owner was quite friendly. Duely note that they won’t tAke anything with a minor knick or tear. The dress I was going to give had stitching that was loose and they refused it. They have a variety of items at more than fair pricing. It is the type of place where you have to look quite a bit to find something, however, if you take the time to you can find gems.
