Kudlow and McCann Professional

So I get it. It’s tax season. They’re busy. My services with them only go as far as tax returns. I’m a middle of the road employee, and on paper my numbers are hardly worth their time as far as soliciting future business. I was originally recommended to them back in 2012 because I was told they catered to freelance employee’s, helping make sense of businesses expenses and eligible tax credits. Not the case. I went to their office to sit down and ask questions. I was either given an answer of «umm I’ll have to get back to you on that» or short one word answers and when my 10 minutes was up, my questions were met with «if it wasn’t already 4:45…». When I tried to ask questions regarding my return over email — the advice I got: «just file on time so you don’t get charged interest.»
So if you’re a low-​to-​mid earner, expect to get stuck with the firms junior CA. I’m sure it depends on who you talk with, but I’ve gone to them for 3 years getting stuck with junior CA’s and feeling like my tax concerns keep getting brushed off because they’re too busy. I’m looking for an accounting firm that will work with me when I have questions — not just blow me off. I would not recommend them for people who actually want to understand where their hard earned money goes.
