Lansdowne Subway Station

Very large and spacious (read: barren) Subway station on an intersection with minimal number of interesting transit connections. There were people waiting both inside and outside the subway station for a connecting bus.
One of the doors leading out to Lansdowne west side were broken. Renovation indicates that Wifi, Presto is coming soon to the subway station in May 2016.

It is not the worst station on the TTC and one of the ones I use the most. Connection to the 47 bus between Queen and Yorkdale (most only go to St Clair) and exits to Emerson and Lansdowne. Unremarkable in design, the station is busy at peak hours but does not get the death crowds of Dufferin or the downtown stations.

Average stop on the Bloor-​Danforth line of Toronto’s subway, the Landsdowne station provides access to the city’s subway station from one of Toronto’s well-​known working class neighborhoods. While the appearance of the station might appear a bit gritty, it appears that the gentrification that Toronto is presently undergoing is taking shape in this neighborhood as factories north of the station are being converted into condominiums. Connect easily to the Yorkdale Mall by taking bus 47A or 47B which stops outside the station, but make sure to pick up a transfer in the station prior to boarding so that you won’t have to pay the fare twice.

Up until two days ago, if anyone asked me about this station, I woulda said, it’s not THAT bad… but it IS. The inside of the station isn’t the worst I’ve seen, heck it’s probably in the top 10 in terms of cleanliness on the TTC. That being said, it’s DISGUSTING. If you exit via the front entrance, you’ll barf from all the filth on the ground where people wait for the 47 bus. There’s like six garbage bins sitting outside the station and still, plenty of banana peels and urine stains and random crap everywhere. If you use the Emerson exit, you’ll barf from the 8973 stairs you have to climb, and the collection of garbage piling up outside. I saw an inverted bag of poop flying around that station. DISGUSTING. The residents of this area are so nasty. DO NOT park in that parking lot next to the station. I saw some nasty lady turning tricks in cars in that very parking lot! She then urinated on a car after the jon sped away. She kept shouting «5 dolla, 10 dolla» to every guy who walked by. DISGUSTING. Wash your car and bring hand sanitizer if you park in that lot. I’ve seen far more DISGUSTING things happen in that parking lot. I’ve seen things that no man, woman or child should ever even know exist. Also there are rats. 1 STAR

I rate this subway station as «efficient». Some subway stations have you twisting and turning to get in and out. This one is one nice easy path to the surface. Though with that, it’s a pretty barren station. There isn’t much going on here and I’ve never seen a ton of people going in or out.
