Yes, they are closed. We used to go here once in a while because it’s cheaper than Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

Guessing that «Le Beef-​Cow-​Teque» was taken already, Le Bifthèque settled for the shorter of the cutesy name that brings to mind Montréal-​style steak houses. There are times that you really fancy a steak, but don’t feel the reason to pony out $ 50 for the privilege. Le Bifthèque has you covered then.
The look and feel of a steakhouse is there for you, if not slightly lower rent. The dark wood décor is somewhat faked and stylized, and the tablecloths are the vinyl type you’d find in more extreme-​casual places. That aside, the steaks are not bad at all. The cuts are similar to what you’d get in other steak houses and come with similar sides. It’s affordable, non-​threatening, and definitely a place that you can take your parents to and not worry about them wrestling you for the cheque.
