The recent renovations seem odd; colour choices are bizarre and will no doubt be short-lived, as will the location if they do not improve their service. The time waiting in line is ridiculous and the«help» is practically non-existent. It is however a fitting symbol for the rising in which it is located as it is that of our illustrious socialist Premier, Wynne the Incompetent. They finally reduced the number of ridiculous«expectant mothers and small children» spots to one on each side of the lot to avoid the arguments I have twice witnessed over a couple of years. The prices are certainly no saving grace and the scent of smug self-satisfaction and complacency hangs in the air longer than the baked goods. If you want to blow some money needlessly, this is the place.

Recent renovations have improved the look of the interior of this location — no doubt due to serious competition from the nearby Longo’s. Can’t imagine how much revenue hey have lost the last couple of years. Unfortunately the staff and management remain the same. Ignorant, unprofessional staff(Wandering around doing nothing, swearing, holding private and inappropriate discussions among staff around customers). Dismissive and incompetent management. The odd behaviour of staff parking their cars in the front spots using up two slots per car continues as well despite repeated complaints to management. I would give 1 start if possible. Skip this Loblaws and go to the Longo’s down the street.

This has to be one of the worst Loblaws in the city. None of the staff know where anything is. Once I asked where the gluten free food was in the bakery and the team member basically said she didn’t know anything about gluten free food and she was busy. A month after that, I had to ask four different team members where one item was. I kept getting directed to different parts of the store. Only saving grace is the check out staff are pleasant and the parking lot is huge and usually empty.

This is one of the best grocery stores in the Leaside area but tricky to get at. It has a vast selection of presidents choice products, organics and essentials. Watch for good sales and the more unique products for entertaining parties. The produce tends to be more expensive than elsewhere and the meat department seems limited. One if my fav stores overall.

I am not quite sure how this grocery store even survives. I found it by accident. I turned down a wrong street. Went to go turn around, and like a beacon of light, I saw the sign, and it said Loblaws. There is nothing else on this street and it is a dead end. You cannot see the store from Millwood. It is like a hidden gem. The size of this store is impressive. Huge parking, and on a Sunday afternoon — not even close to capacity. The store has a large organic section, a Joe section, a small butcher section, some high end grocery items(that are placed on Ikea type shelving to not look so cool) and a florist. I would give this Loblaws 4 stars, but the pork tenderloin that I bought, when I got it home and opened the package, smelled, so I threw it out. No pork stir fry for dinner tonight. Whoops… that is Domino’s at the door…
