I had a terrible experience here. Find a different tailor. I brought in 6 items and paid $ 220 for all of the alterations. When I picked up the stuff 4 items were fine, 1 had not been done at all, and 1 had a major problem. When I told the owner one alteration was not done she said«I thought you changed your mind». I said that I paid for the work. And she pinned it. No comment. The problem item was a shirt that I bought in a size above my regular size. I wanted the room in the hips but it was too large in the upper body. She pinned the sleeves and the upper torso for alteration. When I tried it on it was slim throughout and now too tight around my hips. I said that she took too much in. She said she did not. I said that she did. She said that maybe I gained weight. She reprimanded me for accusing her of being a liar. In the end, she offered to fix it by stretching it. The shirt now fits in the hips, but it doesn’t hang properly. It was a very expensive shirt, in addition to the alteration fees and now it fits poorly. This was a terrible customer service experience for me. The owner never accepted responsibility or apologized to me, and she ruined my shirt.

I recently did some major online retail damage in preparation for our trip to Asia this December. As usual, the jacket and shirts I ordered were a bit too long. I arrived at the old location and was horrified to see brown paper covering the windows. I was resigned to wearing my new but baggy and overly long clothes but thank goodness for my iPhone. M. Clara just moved a few doors down on Yorkville Ave. The new space is great, much larger and brighter than the previous space, with several chairs and a very large changing room. There was quite a line up but once it was my turn, the owner Tara greeted me with her usual smile and charm. I am amazed at her expertise, she gives great advice and knows just how to tailor the clothes to make them look terrific. And at this stage in life, every little bit counts!
