Love the store but a recent increase in their prices has me shopping Amazon now for my products which I can get cheaper and delivered to my door. It also avoids tough parking on Danforth.

MenEssentials is my go to for all beard and grooming accessories. I’ve made most of my purchases from them online and they treat their customers like gold. MenEssentials has a vast assortment of any kind of grooming product you can think of in all different price points, truly something for everyone no matter what the budget. My most recent order was placed on a Friday evening around 8pm and within 30 minutes I not only had my order confirmation but also received an email stating my order was packed and ready to ship followed a moment later with another email with my tracking number. It truly doesn’t get any better than this.

Hi there, my name is Mike and I wanted to tell you about my awesome experience visiting this awesome very modern looking store, I came all the way from Richmond Hill, first off the people that work there are very nice and even though I came on my Harley and really I looked a like a hard core biker they still gave me the respect like anyone else and I like that the employees are just very friendly and ready to help, if it was up to me I think I would hang out the for at least 4 – 5 hours just be looking at their great product who by the way I think the best in store product in the city, for sure I have not seen a store like this, but I do have maybe one suggestion I would love to see maybe some cold drinks offered and small appetizers, so in regards to everything that you need for men’s grooming they have, I strongly suggest this store.

I must admit that I am an old fashion type of guy and that includes my shaving routine. This means that I prefer to shave with an old school razor and a shaving brush. For the longest time the only place you could find good quality shaving tools and supplies was online. Enter Men Essentials, an oasis of grooming and personal care products for men. This hip, trendy, and totally cool Man Cave has everything a discerning gentleman needs to stay looking sharp! The selection of products is quite vast, it is easy to spend several hours smelling and touching the different scents, soaps, creams, aftershaves, pre-shaves, and colognes available here. Not to mention the selection of razors, brushes, combs, blades, sets, gift, and accessories. All this may seem overwhelming but fear not the super knowledgable friendly staff can answer all your questions, guide you through the selection and help you chose the best product and scent for you. I recommend this place highly!

My go to place for shaving supplies after being recommended same by a dermatologist. Thus far, they are the only place in the GTA that carries all the little funny funny old world shaving products that no one else has in Stock. The prices are reasonable as I have compared same on the products that I buy to , etc. The staff is quite pleasant. Worth checking out followed by a meal on the Danforth.

I spent a handful of hours researching the ‘art of shaving’ and following the rabbit hole of links lead me to a place in Toronto. How awesome is that? So often you find a great place to make niche product purchases and they’re not located locally. I went to the store without any expectations and was pleasantly surprised by the knowledge and care taken by the staff. Wet shaving with a safety razor can take you into a hobbyist obsession with your shaving routine. Therefore, there are people who speak about the items with a passion. The staff uses the products and can speak with knowledge and experience. Evan was a great guy with a lot of knowledge and great insight due to his own experiences. He made purchasing my very first razor, a Merkur 34CHD, a learning experience as he used his kid gloves to walk me through the store looking to consider complementary items that contribute to great shaving and generally taking care of your skin. I, never in my life, ever looked forward to shaving. I actually do it only as often as I have to, and that typically means, at MOST, every other day. With my purchase of the Merkur 34C and having my first safety razor shave under my belt, I can safely say that I look forward to refining my shaving technique and shaving more frequently. Therefore, I’ll be back to the store more frequently than I had imagined. Thanks to Evan and the rest of the staff. The product selection is vast so the staff is heavily relied on to help make buying decisions easier. Evan was great, but so was everyone else. Everyone tried to be very helpful and they were all polite and genuine. If you want to start taking your skin care and shaving more seriously, this is a great place to start looking for answers in Toronto.

We were looking for a shaving set for a friend’s birthday, found this place on google and couldn’t be happier with what we found. The owner was very helpful and patient, took all the time to help us build the exact set we were looking for. I’ve finally found the place to visit for gifts for men! Love it!

I was visiting a friend in Toronto and had a couple of hours to myself before meeting her. I found myself stumbling upon this store just a block or two away from Chester Station. I was thinking about getting a new shaving set for a while(safety razor, shaving brush ect ect) and certainly didn’t have any trouble finding everything I needed here. HUGE selection(It’s an entire store that literally only sells mens shaving products) ranging from decent starter equipment and aftershaves to pricey straight razors and whatnot. Since that visit I’ve made a couple of orders from their website and haven’t had any complaints. I’m from Windsor, Ontario(about a 4 hour drive), and for two bucks I got my package in two days! Definitely recommend.

My brother and I bought some hair gel, face cleanser and lip balm. The salesperson gave me some samples of some products that I was interested in. Had a great experience and will definitely return in the near future!

If that metrosexual thing from about 15 years ago was looking to make a come back, it would find a home over at MenEssentials. Otherwise, this is a place to get a lot of really great grooming gear. And if you are into classic wet shaving, this is the place to go for brushes, razors, blades, soap, etc. Personally, I really enjoyed my visit and saw no shortage of goodies to buy. Why go to Shoppers when you can come here for more exclusive items that are not always much more expensive. I like having a «guy only» store. It helps that this shop is relatively nearby. I talked with the owner, Seth, for quite a while and he seems to really know his stuff. He also explained how he has to keep his pricing fair because he and his competitors all buy from the same suppliers. He says he has to charge a little more than an online shop since he has a storefront but I am happy to pay the difference. Again, the experience of shopping here is far more pleasant than sitting in front of your computer – I already do this all day long and you probably do too. The guys at the cash were pleasant but I would suggest going straight to Seth with questions – it is just a matter of age and experience, right? I treated myself to a Kent brush – but not one of the super nice ones. So far, so good – my hair hasn’t fallen out, ha. It is funny how much nicer it is to use an object you know is well made. When a comb or brush stops being a cheap piece of plastic you thoughtlessly bought from the dollar store, and becomes a finely made tool crafted in England(with heritage – Kent has been around forever and is associated with the royal family) you selected in a boutique, it suddenly becomes a real pleasure to comb/brush your hair. Call it materialism or the trappings of a Western bourgeois mindset but these little luxuries make life better. Fine shops like MenEssentials understand this and can help you live a little better each day. Highly recommended.
