If you are looking for a friendly, laid back and unpretentious place to enjoy some good old fashioned West Indian Food, Mitchie’s Eatery is the place for you. It’s not the prettiest in terms of décor, but what they don’t have in décor, they more than make up for in the quality of the food. If your «money is funny» (low on cash that is), as we say back in Chicago, I recommend you try their $ 5.00 jerk chicken lunch special (available from 11:30am — 3:00). Their jerk seasoning is quite tasty and flavourful without being overly spicy. And, of course, you need a good ginger beer to wash it all down.
